Paint care with protection pack

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Collecting my new NX this week and planning ahead. I have paid £620 for the paint and wheel protection pack and think the cleaning chemicals that my local £6 hand wash peeps use will ruin it.

Question is. Can I use my current collection of Poorboys waxes and shampoo with carnauba wax or do I need synthetic stuff?

Just purchased a pressure washer and snow foam adaptor. Which snow foam is safe to use with the Lexus protection treatment?

Thank you for reading my post and will value all advise.

Regards Nige.

If it's the latest Lexus protect stuff, actually it's GEN3 glass coat, the GEN3 website specifically says not to use waxes or polishes. Their Glasscoat wash solution works really well if somewhat uninspiring, absolutely no sure at all ..

They say the coating is safe with "well maintained" car washes.

    1. 1. If you were to consider buying a Hybrid model over 5 years old, would you be worried about the reliability of the Hybrid system?

      • Not really as Hybrid systems are always reliable
      • Not if it had a Manufacturers Warranty on the Hybrid system
      • I would not buy a Hybrid model over 5 years old
