In the early 80s the Starion and Conquest was announced as a new model by Mitsubishi and shortly after this the Mitsubishi Starion turned up in the USA as a 1984 model bearing the twin names of Dodge Conquest and Plymouth Conquest. This stylish two-door, two seater fixed-head coupe, whether badged as a Mitsubishi, Dodge, Plymouth or (in Britain initially) as a Colt, was essentially the same animal. By 1990 the Starion was old technology and despite the 2.6 litre engine for the US, was withdrawn from production.

would the wheels fit ?

quite possibly,

mitsubishi pcd on 5 studs tends to be the same as lexus 5x114

offsets vary between 35 and 42

:whistling:

This is Kaz now, I can say that my collegues car is A - Very quick, and B - Mint. The chap has spent thousands on restoring it. At my work place their must be a full car upstairs!!

Its going in again for another complete re-spray and about 90% brand new body pannels in a few months.

I'll get some pictures when its done.

The names Starion, was no accident. Infact the Jap rep actually visited the dealerships in the UK and gave them lessons on how it should be pronounced. Star - ryan!

Most importantly it was also the car jackie chan and jaws drove in cannon ball 1 & 2 films.

From what i understand its also a relative of the evo, in terms of it being a turbo nutter, well an 80's version of the evo.
