Faking The Alarm System

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if its possible to fake the alarm system into not enabling itself when lockin the doors? I tried every combo possible from lockin the doors from the back seats/ locking using the indiv locks etc etc. ....

in all tries, the alarm still seems to activate itself no matter wat (constant red LED on the dash for a while, before flashing again).

I sometimes dont drive my IS200 for a week or 2 .... and it just kills my Battery. Although it may be good idea to consid changin it cos of its age, I wanna get the most out of it first ... hehe.

These things are just gettin too smart!

Most alarms will drain your Battery even if its not armed - so your better off arming it, as said before get a better Battery, ive left my car for over a month and on my return it started first time(not the lex) ...but i have left the lex for 3 weeks and had no probs - try a heavy duty batt

If you don't want the alarm on then lock the car with the key and not the remote.

However the alarm will not drain a fully working battery in two weeks.

the alarm will still arm itself

what i do is leave the car unlocked and stow it in the garage

in theory no it should not lock but both mat and I have had the car lock when the keys are  not in the ignition and no button was pressed , in mats instance it was when his keys were on the seat.

Thats never happened to me regardless if the keys were in the ignition or not.

I've only seen that happen to cars with aftermarket antitheft.

Actually, my friend who has a kinda "souped" up IS straight from the dealer (a demo car), has this problem of autolocking. But I blieve he has an enhanced version of anti theft. He uses an external lexus fob to arm and disarm the anti theft.

BTW, i finally had to change my Battery .. :D ... so no need to fake the system anymore ...
