CD problems

Recommended Posts

Hi Guy,

Anyone know how to check to see if I 've got any cd's stuck in the autoloader ?

I keep getting an err3 message which indicates a cd is stuck. I mangage to pull the unit out, where should I take a back off to check ? Local dealer quoted £350 to take unit out and send off to repairer, £350 to check it out is a bit steep !!!! And on top of that no sounds for ages !!! previous threads have said it is possible....

so near and yet so far !! - sorry forgot to mention, Altezza import with cd loader at the bottom

i had the ERR3 message also but i had mine changed under warranty. While it was out i had a llok at the unit and each end of the access plates were under each other which means that you would have to take the whole thing apart = 20 pieces.

the company that repairs them is a place called Auto Sound.

Mine is currently at the dealers being repaired. They're not going to replace the unit as it's now on an extended warrantee. Apparently 7-10 days ..

Having trouble without any tunes although it has made me realise how solid and together the car is. I only hear the engine ... no other sounds...

:tumble: YOU CAN RESET THE CD PLAYER AND CAUSE A REBOOT OF THE THING AT THE SAME TIME BY REMOVING THE FUSE MARKED RADIO1 IN THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE BONNET. THE RADIO PRESETS SHOULD REMAIN AND THE CD PLAYER WILL PERFORM A REBOOT AFTER WHICH ALL SHOULD BE OK.
