very positive about the lexus - although states you can get 600 miles per tank which we all know isn't true!

As a peice of television its ok but its not about cars anymore .....its just a showcase for that ahole jc .....at least 5th gear still does reviews on cars we can afford

Didn't know that JC slated the Lexus but then again he loves Aston Martin and ROVER, in fact anything with a union jack sticking out of it. However , if he hates Lexus so much maybe someone should alert Top Gear to the diesel problem and maybe they can shame Lexus into giving them answers that they wont give us. Or better again , maybe they (Lexus) will give us answers in order to head TG off at the pass.

My Trial

I have compared the cars for similar money I had to@ buy ' a few BMW extras Now the field is level IS250 Se auto vs 320 D with Bluetooth phone Auto lights and wipers, heated leather seats.

The BMW has better road holding and steering feel . Soaks up the bumps MUCh better on our bads roads than the lexus which feels twitchy esp at low speeds.

BMW better fuel economy but sounds like a truck compared to the quiet Petrol Lexus.

Both have good power delivery and ist class auto boxes.

BMW has rear parking sensors as standard..listen up Lexus! Need them to park the new IS250!

BMW no folding mirrors why not I ask!

Lexus Better quality interior electric seats good leather and vastly superior audio system.

Lexus( woodford) 1st class service department...dont know about BMW but I am sure they could not beat them!

BMW I test drove ..no rattles or creaks at all.

So you pays your money and makes your choice..or a message to Lexus Get the ride sorted...Get rid of the rattles and watch the German car buyers flock to you!

kind of interesting, I thought of you guys complaining about ratles after I read Autobild report in germany, where BMW drivers complained a lot about interior rattles (statistically more than Toyota/Lexus) :-).
