Brake Pads

Which pads are better though guys? I was thinking about EBC's but I want more stopping power not just less dust!

TRD328 - you have TRD pads on, is that with standard discs - do they brake better than normal lexus kit?

If I can help it, I want to remain on normal discs for now due to cost! :duh:

As far as I can tell the EBC's will just give out less dust (as they are probably harder pads) and therefore decrease life of discs!

I'm just waiting the prices from my EBC supplier.

Due to have an have an answer this week.

As a reminder, EBC do Front and Rear disk pads for the IS200 and the GS300 (93-99)

But currently only do Front Turbo Groove disks for both cars.

I used TRD pads on standard discs on my Aristo Vertex and they warped the discs.

I recommend Black Diamond grooved + Ferrodo brake pads.

This is what I use for track, and usually holds up for 5 laps or so (compared with a BMW M3's 3 laps). On the road they are more than enough to stop the car.

AP Racing do 4/6 pot kits for Lexus now also, for real stopping power.

Dot 5.1 brake fluid anyone?
