Where To Buy Coilovers 1.gen Ls 400

Recommended Posts

Hi and welcome to LOC UK.

I just did a google search and several pages appeared.

Parts are generally cheaper from the USA but do not forget delivery charges and maybe import taxes.

Why do you need new coilovers are they worn out or are you uprating?

Nope they arent worn, but actually I got the DF210 Tanabe's in a box at home, but was told that the Tanabe springs will reduce the life span quite much on the factory struts! Don't want to blow up my shocks in a couple of months.. :(

I take it the Tanabe's are the uprated 2 inch lower springs.... yes they will reduse the life span of the original struts, but then again lowering the car by 2 inches and increasing the spring rate will reduce the life span of just about everything else on the car.... I wouldn't worry too much, just use them....

Let's see if Pete diverts this guy to Clublexus :whistling: lol

You could try ClubLesxus in the US for more info, they like lowering..... (there you go Steve).....

Good Luck and watch out for speed bumps

Pete

Not sure what you're after as the Tanabe's are mostly just a change of suspension strut which is somethimes adjustable with a clip spring in three height settings. A full set of proper coilovers are fully adjustable throughout a set range. I know K-Sport do a full coilover set for the LS400's for about £550- £600. Most UK LS's go for the striaght lowering springs from Ebach(£120) sitting on the standard suspension struts. That will change the handling for better ride with a lower ride height. Have a full set of strut braces fitted will transform the handling 100% of the earlier LS's.

Hi baz, Would you know where I could get the Eibach spring kit from?....I had a look on the Eibach website and could not find the LS listed. Gonna have to do something more to the LS and springs seem the way.

Thanks,

Scott
