Continental Headlight Adapters

Going to Luxembourg next month, and need to adapt the headlights for Euro driving. Do members buy the official Lex headlight converters (how much are they?) or is black sticky tape the way to go.

I only go over the channel two or three times each year, so I'm looking for an economical solution.

Have searched the forum and not found anything on this topic.

I normally just buy the stickers from Halfords - they work just as well and are much cheaper. Easy to put on and take off again.

How long are you going to be driving on the continent for?

I dont know as I've never taken a car to the continent for a period of time - but would you not be able to just adjust the headlight level (i.e. lower them) so you dont blind any on-coming drivers if it's not going to be for very long? Would save any trouble on your behalf !

Well, you drive on the right, so your headlights search out the right side of the road. :)

We drive on the left, and ours search out the left hand side of the road. :D

If we drive on the "wrong" side of the road when we are abroad our headlights blind the oncoming traffic, and so do yours when you come over here. B)

That's why we fit deflectors to our headlights

why dont you adjust your headlights using the electronic gadget that normally that never gets used.

Set it to point to the lowest.. hey presto.. you actually get to use em!

I think it is the simpler and wiser thing to do, use the car's headlights adjustment features instead of putting a disgraceful sticker
