This morning I noticed someone had nicked the shiny dust caps off two wheels (to go with one they nicked from the other side last week I guess.) Anyway I replaced them with some spares I had in the boot that I bought the last time someone nicked the dust caps....

...while doing so I notice that I seemed to have kerbed an alloy really badly. But no - someone parking had hit the side of my car - the sticky-out strip that goes down the side plus had made a scrape all the way across the alloy.

No note.

Tomorrow I go to the small claims court to try to get the motorcyclist that damaged the side of my car weaving through traffic last year to pay up. He didn't stop at the time.

And the woman in the micra who hit my car in November? As her story doesn't match mine (well it wouldn't - it makes no sense) and we have no witnesses her insurance company is suggesting a 50/50 settlement. I've told the solicitor what they can tell them about that offer. A judge should see through her story so I'm looking forward to court.

It's so simple and trouble free owning a car in a world of such honest, decent people isn't it? <_<

Like Pee J said, everywhere, they nicked my dust caps too, but just the front ones, as they had the fancy "K" of Kahn Wheels symbol on it, i took the back ones off myself, but will be going to get some more for the alloy shop..

The young lads that live near me, love my car, they've been going round checking all the bikes to see who's got'em..:lol:

I got my nicked in a little French Town on the shores of Lake Geneva. You will never think such a thing happened in a place like that especially in a Hotel car park.

The warning alarm alerted the security man but the boys (whom he knew) had nicked them already. I wasn't too pleased that my shining blue ones had gone when he told me about it, but when when the boys came with thier dads to apologise that night, I bust out laughing. They were barely 10 years old. I was looking for some spotty 17 year old.

I saw the fear on their faces and even went to the local motorcycle shop to buy them a pair each for their bikes.

But hey, it was a great weekend, after England beat Argentina, and Lennox flattened Tyson. Also enjoyed some free porn on Canal Plus. A bloke can't ask for more than that in a single weekend?

Wonder if this is the record for the shortest time caps have been on the car....

With all the meets coming up I thought I'd start putting some elbow grease into the car and making her look all pretty (not that she needs to be clean for that :P ).

I bought some red anodised dust caps yesterday to match the alloy rim, got home from Scot's at 11pm last night, it's usually dead around here and safe as houses, woke up this morning, left the house at 7am to go to work and they'ld all dissapeared.

Some thieving little swine has had them off my car in less than 8 hours of them being on there....

Was speaking ot another MR2 owner in the area who is so fed up of them being nicked he took them off his car ages ago so I now have a replacement set for free, they're staying inside the car unless I'm at a meet when I'll put them on in the morning.....

Trouble with Oxford is too many bikes to check !!!

The judged decided on the balance of probability that it was more likely that I'd changed lanes into the motorcyclist than that the motor cycle courier had been weaving between lanes and had clipped my car. <_< :duh: Case lost.

Since when have judges in the UK been in touch with reality?

Sorry to hear about that Javadude.

The world is full of losers and our justice system is a joke and is biased against the honest and decent.

Just put it all behind you and forget about it. Dwelling on the negative or unfair is too depressing
