Sad Ending For A Majestic Lady

Go down the page and see a testament to the strength of our beloved cars. The car is dead but the driver walked away with just a few cuts and bruises after a 6 ton truck careered head-on into him..

Well that gives me confidence, especially when you see the way some idiots drive in this country

Now surely you'll compose a Lexus blues number in memory of this one!!!

I firmly believe its impossible to write a new Blues song but you can always alter what ever is out there to suit.

Better this way to end an illustrious life than the breakers yard through some dopey thing going wrong that makes it uneconomic to repair ! :innocent: especially as the driver was ok.......... wow, was that just luck or are we really safety conscious drivers who try to prevent even the worst scenario taking us out.

Whats wrong with it? That will polish out, add a full valet and you won't know.

Seriously though, it's a sad end to any vehicle's life especially an Ls, 1 old girl less on the road, it just shows how strong they are to have written off a 6ton truck, she did her job well and protected the driver :phone:

As far as I am concerned no "small car" is safe, they generally have plastic wings and bonnets and no structural integrity whatsoever, how they get their 4/5 star NCAP I do not know, replace that LS400 with a Smart car and the truck would have gone straight through it.

Looking at the shell although twisted from front to back I bet the doors still opened and the engine is still where it should be not having joined the driver inside the cabin.

Doesn't say how old the car is but assuming it's 15 years old, the fact that the structure was still sound enough to take this kind of punishment says a lot, lesser cars would have crumbled due to rust damage.
