Mot's

Recommended Posts

As you can actually get an MOT that is for 13 months, i would advise putting it into the dealer for the MOT a month before due date. Then hopfully any problems will be under warranty.

Just my thoughts :)

Wonder if the Nos will effect the MOT. might just have to take the bottle off for the test. althought the test does not say anything about testing bolt on forced inducton accesories....

:zee:

as long as its a trusted garage, you can see the muppets taking it for a test run now....

A MOT is a vehicle safety check that has to be carried out on every vehicle in the UK once a year unless its under 3 years old.

Also a part of MOT - once a vehicle is over 3 years old in the UK you need the certificate that is issued by the official testing the vehicle in order to pay our taxes for road use.

When you are buying a used car in the UK previous MOT documents are useful as the mileage at the time of the test is recorded - providing a form of mileage check for perspective buyers.

In Italy, you could go for an MOT with no tyres left, a windscreen with so many cracks you could not see out, no exhaust and no brakes and still pass with flying colours. But if the horn didn't work they would write the car off there and then!

Do Lexus' in Italy have louder horns than the rest of the world?

James....

I don't think so... i've an old 1986 golf GTI and every time i found the police they control all my car.... :shutit: I Can't do nothing because they are very strict and if your car is not TOTALLY ok you have to pay and go for a control... ;)

In the south of Italy there is completely the opposit.... even the traffic lights are not respected.... :D and you can ride a WRC wothout circulation card.... :D
