Mark 3 Or 4 ?

Hello everyone, Perhaps you can help me ...... My Lexus ls 400 was registered 11-1-95, is it mk 3 or mk 4... How do you tell the difference ?. Thank you.. Roy.

Two things I always look for, sat nav and clear indicator lenses at the front on the later cars - I think MKIV started in 98.

The Mk3 has the front foglamps integrated in the headlamp settings, the Mk4 has them separate, much like the Mk1 and Mk2

And Jan 1995 will be a Mk3.

I believe the MKIV was also the first revision to get a 5 speed transmission and a VVTi engine.

Could be a mark 2 registered on that date post up a pic & we will tell you.

Definately not a 4. Mark 2 had the shift button at the top of the gear select lever, mark 3 didn't. Have a look here http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html

Post October 1994 models are Mark 3 which yours will be, Mark 4 released in October 1998.

My mark IV + DHP was registered 04/09/1998, must have been one of the early ones then.
