Look At My Knob...

After getting 3rd degree burns on my hand a couple of times a few weeks ago (when it was hot and sunny - seems like a long time now) I ordered a replacement gear knob...

What do you think? It's a matt black delrin ball - a bit bigger than the original, and feels a bit more comfortable in the hand (fnarr).

I expect it will still get hot in the summer, but should definitely stay a bit warmer in the winter. Now I sound like a complete wuss...

same here getting burnt in summer. had the chrome titanium gear knob on my auto, now changed and got the leather knob.

thick and chunky and I am fully protected! :hocus-pokus:

Not selling that gear knob are you? I don't like the leather one as found in some autos. Much prefer the look of the golf ball type metal ones.

After using my 'new' LS400 Mk 4 for about a month I concluded that the gear lever knob was a bit worn and detracting from an otherwise immaculate interior. I solved the problem by ringing Lexus Guildford who, for the princely sum of £108.24 (including 10% LOC discount) arranged for a new one to be sent from Japan. Here is the result:
