From another forum I visit, a user asked about Disklok and one reply was this:

In case anyone is thinking of getting one, then this is a good reason too.

Taken from a guy I know from the other forum, stopped his track prep teg getting pinched from his drive

Now thats what you call effective...pity they did so much damage.

yes, very effective. But one has to wonder if a little CCTV on his driveway would have allowed him to find the people/person who did this and stop them from costing others a fortune.

If anything like that happend to our cars I'd want some justice. Honestly. I'd rather ours went and were never seen again, than be confronted by £50k worth of scrap in the morning.

Is chopping their hands off really too severe?

No!

And is more fun if you use a semi-blunt pen-knife - makes more mess (apparently) :D

Usually the Teg is blocked in by another car.

A CCTV camera would be no use as you are not allowed to have them pointed where they would film public area - can only point on your land ...... the driveway is short, and right opposite is a public place.

The car is also VERY well known - a lot of people know it well enough to report if seen driving fast in the streets (the owner never rags it on the public roads) ....... The Disklock did it's job well thankfully as it would have been a huge shame for that car to fall into the wrong hands - it is a real track tool owned by someone who drives it very well - and a lot of time has been invested in it.

If we find those responsible .........

Which forum did youfind this on???
