  2. Been looking for some time for some 18" wheels to replace the current 17s as they don't fill out the arches and found these on Pre Loved locally. Guy bought them new in January for his GS300 then sold the car shortly afterwards so both wheels and tyres are like new with Uniroyal Rainsport 3s all round, wheels are german made Rial Cantania. Spigot rings, cone nuts and set of locking nuts thrown in for £300.00.

  3. If it was my own decision/money it would be a definitely. Don't get me wrong the 300 is a beautiful car but in my honest opinion the F sport is another step up the ladder.

  5. Jason First of all let me set you straight on the modification you are suggesting ,You will not get the LS400 engine in your is200 .two reasons its too big and its too powerful. If you carve up the is200 to get the engine and transmission of the LS400 engine too fit you will then have serious problems getting someone to insure you. The VOSA engineers will be wanting to take a look at the mod as soon as you re-register the car with new engine mods . Then your insurance company will want a look at that report and will likely run a mile. Now you might be intending to run it off road maybe or on a race track ,to that end you will be OK but forget any easy way of public highway driving.

  10. This is a good point. Even if it was classed as wear and tear, can something that is hardly ever used wear out in this space of time? My understanding is that it uses a motor with cogs? in which case, which part is supposed to wear? I agree with John, complete nonsense.

  12. As said above. Not expensive to get ... can be as little as £6-9 There is guide here that I put up a few months back. As mentioned above you must switch the a/c to recirculate. In fact whilst you have the rear glovebox cover off, and can see the housing and filter, press the recirculate button on and off and you will see the lid lift up to reveal the filter. The lid/cover must be in the 'up' position ... on no account should you try and force up the lid with your hand.

  13. Like PaulWhitt20 just said, we need a bit more info. Are you possessed with a heavy foot? Read ahead on the road so you can anticipate when to accelerate and when not just let the car drift to a halt. I think the term is 'Pulse-and-Glide'.

  14. The most exposed part of the AC system is the condensor mounted at the front of the car in from of the radiator, subjected to water,flying stones etc it's prime candidate.

  15. It's a shame there isn't a complete manual mode which actually forces thr driver to use the paddles or the gear shift. A shame but still think it's a nice feature that other cars in this class don't have so we should be thankful for that at least :)

  16. Hi, from memory, I managed to get 7.25 litres out of mine by tapping into the return hose after draining as much as I could from the ATF drain plug. If I were to do it again, I would do as you suggested by drain, fill, drive 500miles, then drain and fill again. Much easier and less hassle, for marginal loss of ATF quality, really. Be warned filling up through the ATF dipstick took over an hour of farting about, if you can make a contraption with a Big funnel and tube and make sure you can fix it securely under the bonnet whilst filling will save loads of arm ache!!! Measuring/topping up the fluid using the dipstick SUCKS as it's not easy to read, so measure what you take out and you'll know how much to put back in. Once filled, start engine and let idle, then move the gear selector one notch back at a time letting it rest for 10 seconds in each gear P-R-N-D-S1 and then back up to P 10 sec intervals again, repeat a few times to bleed any air out. Hope this helps!

  18. You can use 95 all the time. Premium unleaded refers to the US which is equivalent to uk 95 octane. Super unleaded (97 UK) has additives but no point using it. It may gain mpg but may not and never enough to warrant the cost. It's like diprobase and olay. Both do the same job, actually diprobase is better
