  1. I've always wondered why when I order parts from companies throughout the world that I get differing import duties, I then noticed that I am NEVER charged import duties when ordering from Takakaira Nice one Mr Takakaira, i'm off to order more goods from them!!! Si
  2. Speak to Oxford Car Audio on 01865 769911 tell them you spoek to Simon Baddeley - they know the Lexus that I drive and ask them to quote you for one they did me a very good deal but they are not a Gold Discount company Si
  3. Both the Exide one and the Optima Yellow fit in to the bay with only 1 minor mod - you have to pack the battery brace with rubber as it is a touch shorter than sthe standard one. I'm running the Exide one and it is excellent Si
  4. Quality meet and good to see that we held our own with the mod'd cars there that were on show Si
  5. Lexus Oxford did me an amazing deal for cash call 01865 865111 ask for Craig, Darren or Keith or Adam the centre manager Si
  6. Exactly and in a nutshell that is the decision you have to make a Hot Hatch or a Luxury Saloon
  7. Feed me NOW - i'm in danger of becoming thin :o
  8. just put your hand under the edge of the shiny piece at the bottom of the leather gaitor and easy it up all the way round. it does pop up easily, if you unscrew the gear knob you can remove the entire thing Si
  9. mate, email me the form over and I can send you some superb phases to jazz it up, we keep a list of he best ones that we see so that we can pass them on to our candidates to use again!! Si
  10. yep take the gaitor out and rub the underside with vaseline and it will be quiet from then on, mine has not squeaked in over a year Si
  11. The fascia plate can be found at AUTOTOYS just search under IS300 and you will see it come up. If you order from them make sure you email them first to negotiate the shipping charges otherwise you will get stung on the charges. The fascia plate is a pretty goo done you have the option of single or double din, look in the IS200 gallery near the end and you will see photo's of mine in there Si P.S. As for the TRC it's useless get rid of it and get a decent one fitted if you really want one
  12. It's normal mate, the sound you are hearing is due to the induction kit, the stock airbox is a LOT more soundproofed so you wouldn't normally hear it. I think (feel free to correct me) that it is because when you shift up or down you do not have your foot on the accelerator and the induction kit is not drawing in any air to the charger hence the sound of rushing air ceases!! Si
  13. I'm going up the M40 in convoy with Adam and Darren from Lexus Oxford - they are brining an SC430 and the LS430, i'll see if they are up for a race (within speed limits) on the M40!! Si
  14. Okay in preperation for Gaydon i'm having the following fitted tomorrow!! Cusco Cooling Panel Black Headlights Braided Brake Line HKS Circle Earth Kit There are 2 other Surprise ones that you'll have to be at the meet to see though!! Si
  15. I have also signed up and can be found under my usual name of simon baddeley Si
  16. nope, mine is the same the air con puts a huge load on the engine and you really notice it when accelerating
  17. 12ish - got to drop the wifey off in oxford first
  18. Still prefer mine - coz i'm selfish but thats a bit in your face, need some stealth, but I bet it's loud!!!
  19. I've withdrawn my motor from the garage and booked it in for another time so I will now be attending Gaydon Si
  20. Just wish it would open up quicker - i need more stuff NOW :D :D :P B)
  21. Oooppss just realised that you are in an altezza - sorry must be blind today! I don't know if there are any different fueling requirements for the altezza or even if they use the same engine internals, try PM'ing TRD328 he's also in Australia and has done plenty of work on his motor
  22. When Mark isn't stalking this forum he can be found by clicking the Torque Developments Link at the top of the page. Stage 1 boost upgrade with the fuelling and the intercooler will hopefully be done in the next 10 weeks or so, as for how fast it is, don't know and I'm not dyno'ing it or doing any 0-60 until I have finished modding the car, ideally yes you will need to upgrade the ecu if you change the pulley as you need to alter the fueling as well. Cheers Si
  23. food for thought as i've just ordered my 18" kit from there!! best check that out me thinks
  24. Take it into any decent car audio store and they should be able to diagnose it no probs, the lense could be scratch or mis-aligned or the laser could be knackered, the housing unit could also be knackered. If you take it to a store they will also be able to check out the model of the cd changer and tell you if you do need a replacement which ones are compatible with the steering wheel controls. I know an excellent company in Oxford if your in the area? Si
