  1. Sounds good to me and dependent on when, if funds allow (!) that would be good :)
  2. I know there was a poll vote done on whether or not to contact Lexus GB about the quality of paint - was this ever pursued? It would be great to hear a follow up, similarily, if you need any help in following up, please let me know if there's anything I can do. :eyes:
  3. Yep, I'd like to come along too. :bounce:
  4. Am I the only one without another fancy mode of transport :?: Unless you count the pushchair....a McLaren no less
  5. Yep, definitely going to get there....largely due to my ability to talk inane drivel
  6. I don't think insurance companies are that bothered though - usually they'd rather settle than argue the toss and prove that a back light was out :(
  7. Have a week at home from 9th September with my boys. :D Am really looking forward to it as I had to go to back to work when my little one was 9 weeks old. Later in the year (Oct/Nov) we will hopefully go away to either Wales or Cumbria for a week!
  8. What refined people we are...do you think the Max Power brigade would hve this sort of conversation:?:
  9. And from me in Bracknell too...get well soon.
  10. Blame my dad - he used to put whisky in my bottle when I was a baby to get me to sleep :o I like the sound of your drinks cabinet. The Talisker is the only thing in mine at the moment. I like Talisker, Glenfiddich ('pls excuse the spelling) and any other decent whisky straight, otherwise the cheaper stuff gets mixed with ginger :)
  11. Eek, a max power Citroen Saxo crashed into GS430 at the Reading Open Road event. How did this one happen :?:
  12. Exciting isn't it! Happy motoring and look forward to seeing the photos of your new car! Welcome to the club - have a look as well at joining Gold. You'll find the discounts should make it worth your while!
  13. Still a few more for me to get to 1000th post :sniff: Am working on it tho'
  14. Am terrible at choosing so can I have a few?! - SC430 - Jaguar XK8 - Caterham 7 (just for fun) My husband would like a Ferrari F40 (or the 280 GTO - he's not fussy). Thanks Playa, awfully decent of you...when were you planning to deliver them
  15. Failing that a screwdriver and a hammer would do the trick :o
  16. Or like the one that appears anyway
  17. How about an email invitation? A bit of a flash number to all registered members 'inviting' them to join Gold and a summary of the benefits? And how about all 'Gold' members have a Go Gold banner in their signature profile (like Steve's) ?
  18. 500 :wow: Best start typing then!
  19. You'll have a whale of a time in the Sport!!
  20. All the best Rob, I hope you enjoy yourself and the new job. Good luck!
  21. I second that! My pride and joy is a lease car so I don't need all the discounts on car parts as such, but there are things that are very useful and relevant to me as a Gold member. Non-Gold members get a lot of enjoyment from the club and free advice etc. I suspect that Steve and Mat have had to shell out from their own money to get things started, so why not give something back :?: £25 for the stuff you get in general aside from the Gold Membership discounts is really worth it.....honest! Now, would a woman tell you a porky-pie :D
  22. Honda Accord TypeV - I like Honda's but the interior wasn't as nice as I'd expected and I was dissapointed at the lack of 'toys' Mitsubishi Galant, full leather interior type malarky....felt like a little kid driving their dad's car Alfa Romeo 156 T-Spark. I liked the look of the car but it didn't feel right to drive. I felt like I was battling with it the whole time. I also didn't think much of the sales tactics "We're doing you a favour by letting you drive" type attitude. The salesman wouldn't let me drive it out of the garage and drove about a mile out before he let me drive it back I was just about to test drive one of the new Volvos () when my husband suggested a Lexus (:saint:). The salesman was great, gave me the keys and asked me to be back in a couple of hours...! I didn't want to hand it back and it's been my pride and joy since May 2001 :bounce:
