My clutch pedal made a creaking noise from brand new - it took a couple of trips to my Lexus dealership before it got sorted. Not sure exactly what it was but took some heavy duty WD40'ing !

Also try www.elephant.co.uk - they knocked off nearly £500 of the next cheapest quote. The only thing is you can't pay in installments, it's all up front.

Hi, yep my friend is looking at Japanese imports. My husband's Honda Prelude is a Jap import and the first year he had it, there was no difference in insurance as it's the same spec as UK models. However, after a while Insurance companies seemed to cotton on that this was a good way to make more money. I would hesitate in getting another import car but wanted to get some less biased opinions. I hadn't really thought of imports from other countries, but I'll pass this on to my mate. Thanks for the feedback! -

We actually managed to catch a bus from T2 directly to Reading Train Station and it only took about 1 hour £5 each way! Not bad. Thanks anyway for the info. My dealer told me that you had to press the key fob twice to deadlock the car but he was telling me porky pies! It's definitely once to deadlock the car and twice to switch of the interior sensors.....I found this out after setting the alarm off several times when I've left my dog in the car

I find the acceleration isn't as quick pulling away from lights etc with the aircon on....

Ha, not only got my friend who came along to JAE planning to buy a Lexus, just persuaded one of our sales guys that he doesn't want a Beemer!!!! Took him out for a drive in my car this lunchtime, showed him what you get as standard and generally impressed him with the car. So, do I get commission now?! :lol:

One of my friends who came along to JAE is now interested in getting a Lexus. He's thinking of an IS200 or a GS300. He's seen some Altezzas and was wondering if he'd be best to get one of these as they appear quite a bit cheaper 2nd hand. I know some of you have got Altezzas and I wondered what you thought, whether or not you'd do it again and general advantages or disadvantages. My husband and I bought an import Honda a few years back but got stung on insurance and servicing - is it the same for Altezzas? Thanks.

Mine's a lease car but I love it to bits. If I can help it, I won't go to any other make than Lexus. I'd really like the Sportscross or GS300 next time....
