  1. drive with the snow button on too, ive been trying it over the past few weeks. i typically put in £30 a week which lasts me exactly a week (sunday to sunday). By the time i come to refill i must be running on fumes though! Past two weeks ive put the snow button on at all times and ive got an extra day or two withought having to refil, this equates to around an extra 50 miles or so, so really chuffed with that. will have to try and get some accurate figues and see exactly what difference it makes
  2. not really on topic, but i just came back from the sheffield wednesday game and passed Lexus Sheffield. parked bang outside the entrance door was a brand new white M3. im 99.9% sure it was an M3 as it looks far more aggressively styled than any of the new 3 series ive seen
  3. cheers for the explanations, think i may get a set, to be honest i never even bothered looking where they all come from!
  4. im debating wether to get some of these or not, im a bit skeptical as they seem so cheap. how come theres such a range in price from kit to kit
  5. Just looking at those interior pics and i dont think there a fair comparison, the BM and Merc are speced up to the max by the looks of it and yet the IS is still looks as good as any of them!
  6. wonder if we will feel any aftershocks tonight, i hope not, nearly shat mi pants last night!
  7. i did, bricked it! wondered what the hell was going off. Got out of bed and went downstairs as i thought someone was breaking into the house
  8. not tried it myself but ive seen threads on here saying it improves the economy
  9. looking forward to hear what tiff has to say. im guessing he will like it as he seems to enjoy a good power slide. the nissan was quality. sickening to think though that in japan its 30k but more like 60k over here with all our taxes
  10. dont think ive seen a post yet which refers to the delightdul Alfa Romeo dealerships, simply shocking my Dad bought a brand new Alfa 156 quite some time ago. Within 2 weeks the rear corner of the bumper had started to come away from the car. He took it to the dealers who didnt beleive him, suggesting he did it himself. After much debate they booked it in to fix it. Took it to dealers who 'fixed' the bumper. Within a month the bumper had started to come apart in the same corner, only this time it had took the paint off the rear panel too! they had stuck the bumper down with some glue or a substance of similar kind, which peeled away taking the paint with it, lol! he had the car 8 monhts before he got rid!
  11. wasnt born until '85 so missed half of it!
  12. i do, best phone ive had to date. better than the 750i and witout the joystick problems. camera is great too to say its a phone just seen aidos post :D sounds like hes been unlucky! not had any problems with mine as of yet and i've had it since it first came out. mines on o2 and isnt full of the vodafone firmware aido talks about. my only complaint is that battery life isnt that great
  13. not sure, with it being the IS250, but on my IS200 i had the same noise and it was my ball joints.
  14. Goodyear F1's are the best tyre ive had to date
  15. hey there, i THINK, but im not 100 percent sure, that if you changing the head unit, the sat nav will still work, but you will lose the audio from the sat nav system. in other words you wont hear the woman giving you the directions. did you have much luck in getting your money back with the Grom?
  16. cheers guys, would mind a set. its the wiring up bit that doesnt sound too good to me! is it easy for a novice. when i say novice i mean no experience. when i say no experience i mean i could quite eaisly butcher things :D
  17. look great,i may be going blind and missed the post but A)where do you get them, B) how do you install them?
  18. Cheers Jamboo, dont think i can justify splashing out on the poter obital effort. may look into the Halfrauds ones though if there cheapish slightly off topic too, but does anybody clean there engine bay. I'd love to do it as mine is filthy. It looks mainly dirty rathe than greasy or anything like that. Done a very quick search, but nothing obvious relating to it jumps out. I dont have a steam cleaner but do have a pressure washer, however im sceptical of this incase i blast my engine to pieces :D ! anybody got any tips
  19. i was just about to start a similar thread to this, but ill post in this one instead. i currently use (i say currently ive not washed the car since before xmas) the Carlack AIO and sealant glaze along with the P21s. in the next few weeks and the cold starts to go away (hopefully) and the salt of the roads goes, i want to use a polish to strip off all the grime and get rid of the small surface scratches etc. could anyone recommend a decent, but affordable one? once ive done that im going to go down the claybar router, never done this before but always wanted to give it a go. then ill use my normal stuff as above.
  20. i was under the impression that all the Lexus' (old generations anyway) were built in Japan. i could well be wrong though
  21. i got a couple from my dealer recently. didnt even bother charging me
  22. I was at school, must be not far off 10 years back. My friends brother picked me and my mate up from school, he'd got the the IS200 the first day it was launched over here and took us for a spin. i loved the speedo dials and what at the time looked like HUGE wheels. always wanted one since then, and when i got the oppertunity, i couldnt say no. i really think the IS shape is a quality design, getting on towards 10 years old, and whilst its starting to look a bit dated, it looks fab considering its age. plus what would the chavs have done if it wasnt for 'lexus lights' lol
