  1. go for the new Blitz Racing meter DC.. very thin design.. ask TE37 he has em on his car! MAt: Lexus still hasn't replied me about the parts number.. usually I would drive down and ask the service manager personally but my car is still getting test doen... will reply asap. And finally you are getting your car featured in a mag! I've been scanning the Maxpower and Revs and Baanzai for your car a long time!
  2. i read about it in Jap option magazine.. it came out mid last year im not sure how it works.. and if it'll fit our enigne type
  3. speed limiter remoooooooooved :D
  4. His speedo reading is a bit wrong.. but I'll guess his top speed might be 190km/h. The 5.1 should have a lower top speed than 4.7 gearing. other factors coming into play is the speed limiter fitted onto our cars. I haven't done any top speed testing after the turbo.. don't wanna push the enigne too hard...
  5. or get a fully tuneable ECu like Motec to by pass the original ECU. Im using the LINK ecu with my turbo setup. Below 5% throttle response the ECU is the brains, but once throttle is over 5% in use, the LINK ecu takes control.
  6. when i got my Trust air filter for my there was a slight increase when the car goes from 60-100km/h. With HKS hiper exhaust and airfilter in place i got 80.2kw rear wheel. Standard reading is 76kw.
  7. HKS vvt-i controller is available... but not sure if it'l lbe suitable to the 1gfe engine
  8. your decision on the IS300 is already a wise choice :D I like the EVO7 myself but the build quality won't match that of the superior Jap . It's 2 different cars. One is sports, the other is comfort and "sporty" sedan. Final choice is up to you and whcih is more importnat to you. If you are thinking of gaining more power, the Evo is the cheaper option. If you intend to keep the car stock, the IS300 for sure.
  9. go for Toms not TRD.. Toms is much better
  10. yes 3sge.. and the factory ALtezzas do not come with turbos besides toms280T. Some Altezzas have up to 500hp with the 3sge engine.
  11. i can see it.. did u get new wheels darkness? they seem to be different in your pic.
  12. I got mine from Makspeed in the city. what colour is200 do you drive? maybe I've seen it before.
  13. If you have an IS200 it's not that easy as a plug'n'play item. The instructions given in the APex'i booklet is wrong. Im still waiting for a mechanic to answer me on the question of where does the speed sensor plugs into.. but somehow he seems to have dissapeared. I got mine done in Melbourne, so if you are in teh UK im not sure where you should go. These are a great gadget and looks good a night :D
  14. my friends IS200 has been mistake for one of these before... actually a few times... melbourne taxis
  15. actually the yellow on the IS200 is not as good as it is in the pictures. It's not as sharp as the Honda integra yellow. More of a creamy yellow... stay with white Mat, you have a killer car there. Get a CF hood and you have the ultimate machine
  16. I think this product is already out. I remember asking about it whilst i was in Hong kong last year. But this ain't fact.. just some hazy memory thingy
  17. the torque figures are for dyno readings only. Im not sure what that translate to for the normal readings we see, but here is an example. Stock is200 torque 550Nm.. GTR33 900Nm.. The price of my kit is AUD7500 stage one and 1500 Stage 2. But that includes installation cost as well, so buying the parts would be much cheaper say AUD 6500 for stage one and two... yes rev limit is stock. [Edited on 28-4-2002 by TRD328]
  18. actually AVO is from Australia, but they do have a branch in Japan if that's what you mean. My kit is in 2 stages. stage 1: intercooler garett t28 turbo Link ECU manifold dump pipe all relevant piping 5-6psi *this produces 128kw at the rear wheels for an auto IS200. Torque is 985.9Nm Stage 2: fuel pump fuel regulator 7-8psi *this produces 140.1kw at the rear wheels for auto is200. Torque is 1100Nm
  19. is my u2u broken or what ?? i haven't recieved ur msg yet .. I WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER THEN [Edited on 15-4-2002 by superchargedIS200]
  20. the Rs200 can do the 0-100km/h around 7.5sec i think.. the toms280T is around 6-7sec... I've read comparisions b/w the 2 in some HK magazine.. if you are to tune the RS200 NA style you'll get more satisfaction outta the car. I wanted to import the 280T as well b4 the IS200 but no luck in OZ..... but I love the bodykit on the 280T..but your car is faster than the 280T and RS200 now.. ps i haven't recived ur u2u msg yet
  21. Toms280T Same engine as the RS200, 3sge but turbo. Has a gasket to lower comp ratio. Comes in 6mt or 5at. OZ racing wheels ( i think) kit is designed by an American... performance wise.. not much faster than a RS200..
  22. Im assuming you have had an inside look into the 1gfe IS200 engine. Some questions I would like to ask. 1) Are our standard pistons strong? 2) What is max psi you belive our car can handle on stock internals. 3) If need upgrading, would a thicker head gasket be worth it or straight to forged pistons and conrods?
  23. always rubbing in the salt eh?! :P
