  1. could be a coil spring...or a dry joint eg bush, ball joint etc. Welcome to LOC btw
  2. i know that feeling, not half as bad as yours, glad your ok!
  3. Hello... I would like to say that a similar problem happend to me, and I found out that the place I took it had their tire ballancer machine unadjusted because I took it to another place and they recheked my tires and they were off and I even got my money back from the spects from the other shop. Try it never know. Just had new tyres fitted with no difference, got some new disc's on the way so we shall see!
  4. I got Prolex's Kazama exhaust and Induction Kit, the induction kit has an Apexi air filter Both are good...the Kazama 2 will be on the scene soon, suggested different tail pipe finish's but more expensive. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=36374 http://www.prolex-uk.com/store/
  5. Not sure about the headlamps, look quite cool at night but during the day ugly - like a fly.
  6. Where the arrow is...inside is a flap (normaly shut) will probably be covered in black give it a good clean (avoid droping anything in there, best use lint free cloth) carb cleaner or petrol is good to clean this, at the side where the throttle cable goes, if you move that it will open the flap so as you can clean round it alot easier...its very important that nothing drops in here! Allow cleaners to evaporate and its possible that the car will not start first time. If i have gone wrong could somebody please advise!
  7. I have the same, had new tyres (needed doing) and wheels balenced with no effect, I now have some Prolex grooved discs and mintex pads on the way, all beingfitted next week ready for Japshow at Santa Pod...will let ya know
  8. take it your aware of the previous posts on this? that its probably the pads moving in the calipers and a temp fix is copper grease between the pad and caliper, hence your noise is now back? mine does the same and a fews others do too its been noted as an annoyence, however there is more under there that can make this noise eg bushes etc... Aaron
  9. It can also be bad tracking alignment, eg the wheels are tracked correctly but they did not align the wheels to the steering wheel being true and straight. Aaron
  10. I did option 4 along with disasembling everything and cleaning with carb cleaner.
  11. This is a common annoyance with IS200's, theres alot on this...think 90% of causes are the pads moving around in the calipers. Temp fix is copper grease. Aaron
  12. i like it! plus the back seats fold... there is a black one live near me...they do these as IS300's also?
  13. you can do this but you need to change the line input to the amp...i dont think the Standard IS stereo has phono output plugs so you will need to take speaker signals to the amp, if you amp only takes phono connectors then you will need to buy a little box that converts from speaker signal to the phono type... my mate did it like this with his Pug 106 using the standard stereo...worked quite well too. there may be more on this in the stereo/ICE section on the site. Aaron
  14. How do you clean/service your prolex induction kit apexi air filter? 1. do you do nothing? 2. do you give it quick blow and shake off any big bits? 3. do you use a cleaning kit? 4. do you use a K&N recharge kit? 5. Buy a new Apexi air filter? Aaron
  15. Have just done mine along with cleaning the induction kit air filter with a K&N recharge kit, have noticed that car seems to rev a little higher on tickover (just over 1) before it used to sit below the 1. my only thoughts on this is that when i re-set the ECU the computer is finding its boundries again? Or there was so much black c :tsktsk: p in the throttle bit its now running as it should. Aaron
  16. Do you ever run fuel system cleaners? I find it does the same as carb cleaner after a good run.
  17. It was probably a false flash, i have seen speed camera's flashing thin air infact they do it quite often round here. also if your car is rally shiney it can cause a camera to flash as the sunlight reflecting back at the senser in the camera thinks its a car...eg/ cars being flashed in traffic jams as the sunlight has reflected off the glass of the car. if not just burn the camera...thats a joke
  18. I like the altezza grill and the wheels look great finished in a dark colour (gunmetal?) Looks like it may need a polish tho' :winky: It does look damn nice in black but its going to be fun keeping it clean! can you get tinted wing repeaters? (indicators)
  19. they look more than a little better! Just got to wait for Dave to get back from his holiday...
  20. Hello. Anybody got fitted the new pro-lex grooved discs? just seeing what peoples thoughts are on them and what improvements people have noticed, if any? Being grooved will they wear pads out quicker? im on the understanding that the grooves are only there to help disipate the heat and grimes. Is this correct or is there something else im missing? Thanks Aaron
  21. Thats Harsh! lets hope he makes a speedy recovery. excuse the pun
  22. I went on Google to check out scremaer pipes, found this site (link follows) and there all talking about gettingpoints and fines, then realised its in OZ....you probably know about the site but if not... http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....showtopic=75854
