  1. They've got an A Team van and a General Lee for sale. I'll do some enquiring... B)
  2. Watch out for the start up procedure on the dash - you'll just keep doing it over and over :D
  3. I'll gladly supply the car if someone will sponsor me for the chip
  4. Hi Katarina, I have always used the Autoglym Leathercare / Leather Cleaner and found it to be very good. My old Saab had very light leather and this made them look like new. You can also use the same products you can buy to keep leather sofas clean. Also, the leather needs to be treated every few months to keep it looking good as it needs to be 'fed' to keep it supple. Rich.
  5. Hi Sanj, welcome to LOC. You'll find hundreds of ideas on which you can spend your hard earned cash on in here :D
  6. I can't imagine they won't come off, they are only stuck on after all. Just be careful taking off any residue. Tools for the job 1 x Hairdryer from the little lady 10 minutes of your day A bit of persuasion Job's a good 'un :D EDIT - Which badge(s) do you want to take off? EDIT 2 - Welcome to LOC by the way.
  7. I can't remember the exact mileage but there was a definite step function in the performance. I really have to watch the speed now as due to the lack of engine and road noise, seemingly hugely increased power and the long gearing it gets very easy to forget you're flying down an A road at 90 until you come to a corner or behind a car in front It might be easier if it wasn't for the fact that as 3rd gear is good for anything from 30 to 90 odd mph, you just don't realise how fast you're travelling as you don't even have to change gear
  8. Welcome to LOC. This thread may help - Lead time discussion There are a few comments there on how long people have been waiting but it has varied from immediate/weeks where a car became available to up to 9 months on this thread - 56'rs thread I hope your dealer sticks to his forecast :o
  9. Great review Jamboo, we did a similar touring thing but to the Gower Peninsula in Wales. Car loaded to the roof, kids in the back and it performed superbly. I have nearly 7k on the clock now and the in gear performance is fantastic - I have a 250 manual today and whilst they feel like the have the same acceleration I can see by the speedo that I'm travelling slower than I would be in the 220. However, being able to sit at 50 in 6th, and the initial pull of the line, is a huge plus for the V6. I also still have people asking about the car, looking in the windows, wanting a ride etc even now there are more on the road. People just seem to be attracted to it :D
  10. I reckon Chalky12 is OK then as they don't look like Xenon's to me :)
  11. I thought EU regs applied in the UK as well - most of the new IS's don't have headlight washers. How does that work then? :duh:
  12. A friend was at the 'ring over the weekend and said Sabine had been banned for a month because of an accident. Anyone know if it's true, t'internet is telling me nothing!
  13. 27 when I got my first IS, 200SE Now 33 and not long had my 220.
  14. Maybe with trade plates being dropped of at a punters house - 56 plates won't be valid until the 1st September.
  15. Just found this link and it says it's an S model on that reg.. Villainous car seller check link That car has had a lot done to get it to a sport spec, sounds like a ringer to me.... Steer well clear. :o
  16. I can't see where it says it's an 'S' model - all it says is Standard Car. The guy's recent history shows he's sold a fiesta but nothing else for months so I'd guess he's not a trader. I can't see anything to make me believe it's not a sport model and the guy just isn't used to advertising cars. Might be being too trusting but...
  17. We went last year to a resort a few miles from Sunny Beach called Elenite. Hotel Link The place got hammered on the opinion website so we were very worried but it was fantastic. General opinions.. Weather is a bit hit and miss as it can rain a fair bit - the upside is the storms are fantastic! The whole place is run by the mafia - Russian for counterfeit stuff, Bulgarian for entertainments, pubs etc. Not a bad thing as everything is cheap and perfect 'cos they want your money! Even the taxi's are arranged! Amazingly cheap Staff can be a bit grumpy, they get paid the equivalent of a £1 a day Sunny beach is very commercial though, very good if you like that thing :)
  18. So much fun that in this picture, in broad daylight, in perfect visibility, the fog light switch seems to have stuck on... You should be birched young man!!
  19. It happened on my 220 a few weeks ago, and all I could put it down to was interference. As you , locked OK-ish (struggled a bit) but when I went to the car later it wouldn't unlock. When I called the Lexus Assist (RAC!) he put the van in front of the car and it unlocked fine, moved the van back and it wouldn't work again. By the morning it was all fine again. Couldn't put it down to mobile operators (as I work for one and know what's happening where I live) so all I could think was possibly taxi/pirate radio/something else. The next day it was fine. If you have room, unlock with the key (should be a piece to remove on the passenger door handle), put it in neutral and push the car away as far as you can (15ft should do). It'll probably work then as this is what a mechanic did to a friends car in MK when it refused to unlock, and charged her £80 for the privilege. Good luck. EDIT - Also, if you have the keyless entry like the IS, the key fob flashes red when you press the lock button on the door, this'll indicate battery status.
  20. You may have seen these guys before, they have done a different song as well. Linky :D
  21. After now reading it through there are some gems in there -The new 'pimp my ride' is going to be 'make optically fair my ride' :D I did have a 'moment' this morning though on a long third gear left hander that had the back slipping out, not a nice experience even with the traction control on so might not be a good idea. Then again, for €1100, it'd be rude not to really :winky:
  22. Babelfish is your friend :D Can't say how good as I've posted without reading it through first :duh: Which anpackt Lexus Werkstuner TTE, mass production quality has, is however often around lengths sportier than the series. Now the Cologners sharpen the claws of the new Lexus IS 220d. With its dynamics and quiet running he places many Benziner into the shade, but goes there still more: TTE tied a Tuning package for the Lexus - for more performance and an optically more exciting appearance. Whom lively, 2.2 litres large series Diesels with 177 HP not enough power supplies with, for TTE offers an increase in output on 220 HP, which are to be had 2006 for presumably 1149 euro starting from late summer. The torque is to lie after the interference with strong 470 Newtonmeters instead of the standard 400 Nm. With it the turbo-Diesel reacts almost bitingly to the instructions of the accelerotor pedal. Km/h the Lexus IS 200d with the TTE kit settles the prestige print of 0 to 100 in 7.5 seconds - without the smallest Russwoelkchen at the tail. In order to become also optically fair the new dynamics, TTE blocks new 19-Zoll-Alus in Lexus "L the Design". Those send rims are immediately alternatively in silver or chrome Shadow available. A sport tyre of the dimension 225/35 and 245/35 provides for the good contact to the road. For the dynamic Kurvenhatz with the IS 200d is recommended besides the feather/spring set of the TTE troop. The series version of the Lexus IS lowers itself thereby by 30 millimeters towards bitumen. With since short available sport LINE are still ten millimeters more in it. The Lexus with the sport chassis follows guidance instructions still more directly - with at the same time clearly reduced ****bewegungen. Result: Drivers, who attach importance on quality, comfort and sportyness, are in the best way served with the IS optimized by TTE. Even if it may sound still unusual for German ears, the small Lexus represents a genuine alternative to the Alpina D3. There that carries two litres out large diesel set 200 HP and 410 Nm. With the technical data the Lexus has already times the pretty nose in front
  23. Only just seen this but at work now so without a tape measure, if no one else gets time to do it I'll measure mine tonight. Rich.
  24. Depends which way the £1,500 goes - if the SE-L is cheaper then go for that as it would be a comparative bargain (could do without the wood though ). If it's more expensive than the SE then it's not discounted enough in which case I'd go for the new SE. Obviously assuming the colours are what you'd choose anyway. I looked at used ones on Autotrader today and there were at least 60 within 100 miles of me so choice should not be limited!!!
