    I just found this site Here I know its not Lexus, but this guy has changed his yank scooby engine for a Jap one, and hes posted pics etc, I know a few of you are interested in engine swaps so I guess this is what you would have to face when changing an engine in a Lexus. Enjoy

    if you have an old laptop hdd kicking around you can get a usb2 case for it for around £8 and make it into a usb2 powered portable hdd otherwise I have a PQI mem stick from ebuyer that I used to transfer mp3's to my carputer worked a treat. just make sure its usb2 other wise its slllooowwwww

    can you not just use the free software built into windows XP? windows movie maker? its basic, very basic but it works and might just cover what you want to do?

    IIRC the DVD and CD versions use different connectors, I have also read that someone managed to get the dvd rom to work with the 4:3 screen used on the CD version and not all the screen was visible, so it was a wasted effort. there was a post on here a few months ago about using a cdrom unit from a toyota from ebay that was a direct swap and very cheap too

    This happens on my laptop too. but it only happens while parts of the page are still loading in the background and only while using firefox, when all the images etc have loaded the page scrolls smooth again

    if you can only use PCI for gfx then forget looking for a better card. they hit the performance wall with pci cards about 5 years ago when they brought out the AGP slot, things have gone full circle again and they reached the limit of AGP and designed the PCI Express slot. I think you'll be stuck with what you have now untill you upgrade your whole pc. Ive got a radio controlled trainer helicopter thats for indoor flying and runs from the mains so you can practice all day long and it doesnt suffer from any fps issues :)

    Ive always had good results with pioneer dvdrw drives a friend of mine is a naughty lad and is always writing dvds and he's been using a pioneer for years and its never let him down. more important is the type of discs you use, Ive always used -R discs that use the Ritek dye, as they seem to be very reliable and compatible with anything i want to use them on. lightscribe i think is a cool idea, but you can only print in monochrome, I use an epson printer that can print in full colour onto printable dvdrs in photo quality, they look very impressive.

    That radeon card you have is the buget one, take it back and get yourself a 9800 pro, should only be around 90 pouds these days but its an awesome card for the money, I have one in my machine and i can play doom 3 or half life 2 at a very high res with all the detail settings turned up.

    You usually get that msg when either you change something, such as add ram or change drives and dont upset the bios manually, or the system clock and date has changed or reset due to a dead battery. the error relates to the user's setting space in the bios

    Im Driving a Nissan at the moment its super fast would wipe the floor with any of you IS boys its a maroon 1.4 Almera I have to be carefull when i Stop it that people dont try to get in the back thinking its a taxi lol
