  1. Kaz, you're welcome a go in mine but you may prefer Robs - his is absolutely SPOTLESS. I'll try and park next to his, wait until you see his body kit as well. Very subtle but makes such a difference. 1st seems a good date to me. Gord, I can pick you up on the way if you want. Anees as well if you're coming along.
  2. Yep, CR1632. Take out the key from the fob. Put something like a flatblade screwdriver into into the gap where the key was, then rotate to pry open the fob. Swap over the battery (+ faces up) To put it back together, don't just snap it on, start from the furthest away from the gap you put your screwdriver in.
  3. Thanks guys, great to see you too and everyone else who can make it.
  4. I'll try and get to this too.
  5. Actually, based on that I would guess it could easily be open to interpretation. Steve, if these are the wrong way around and not like in the "easier" diagram, this will cause those exact symptoms you have. Follow that diagram with the guides on a couple of posts above.
  6. That's where it picks its negative up from the footwell.
  7. Hopefully it was just a minor mistake in the connection to the car. My instructions may not be that clear really. If you follow just this diagram, is it easier to follow than the one in the instructions? Cheers mate.
  8. Sorry for the delay chaps, wanted to do this today but my Mum took ill so I've been at the hospital all day. She's not to bad now and quite settled. Ok, so you've tested away from the car indicating its not the connections to the car itself as there will be nothing connected to it. (Other than a neg on the footwell neg) When you wired it to your power supply, did you have the negative from your PSU connected to the footwell wht/blk wire and the positive on its positive, then just touch the alarm trigger with the + Those relay connections you have metered are fine and as per the diagram they included. Its interesting that when the neg is remved from the footwell side the fuse doesn't blow. This indicates that either the relay is making the other connection before breaking the first, or there is a short in the wires. What happens if you keep the wire link from the neg to the footwell neg, but take out the wire that goes outside of the box? Any chance you can take a piccy of it wired to your power supply so we can see the wires outside of the box, getting as much in as you can? (including towards the inside of the box)
  9. Ok, here is a picture of how it should be connected in the car. I'm sure this is how you will all do it from the instructions, but sometimes its easier in a single pic.
  10. Steve, not sure if you are getting the emails back from me but Those pictures of yours are spot on. Nothing wrong there. I've also looked up the speccy of that relay and the connections appear correct. Ok, so that leaves a short (possibly where the wires go through the box - so tight it has bared the sheath?). You can easily test by not having it connected to the car when you try it. Or, a wiring mismatch within the car itself. Any chance of a photo of it in the car? I understand its a bit chilly at the mo so you don't want to go connecting it up. I'm not suggesting anything here Steve so please don't be offended - I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it.
  11. Ok, it has to be something odd like the relay connections are different to the ones they have on the diagram they supplied or something like that. Did you take the power supply outside and have the rest still attached to the car or was this done on the bench with nothing on the footwell or mirror connections? Would you take a photograph and post it please? A picture says a thousand words and all that. Ta
  12. Nope, the alarm signal is positive. Even if it was negative it would be ignored because it is held low anyway. At what point does it blow the fuse? As soon as it is switched on or when you try and set the alarm? I don't mean to insult you but you did cut the wires to the mirror in the footwell didn't you? I remember someone installing one who didn't - they just joined them on. Do you have a meter? Would you meter the relay connections in case they are wrong on their printed diagram?
  13. Yep. Done it myself. It only takes something to keep that button pressed. I was adamant that I hadn't leant on the keys in any way at all. Then looked at my security cameras and it was round about the time I was moving some furniture around to decorate.
  14. You'd think they would have thought of this. Bet she got the fright of her life! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  15. Lets hope you don't have too many jellyfish days when you get back to work and are still recovering.........
