  1. and not with the power the car was expected to have. My clutch was not working that day, the release bearing broke, so I didn't have the chance to run up the strip. Sparky also didn't have TC so that didn't help matters, hitting the rev limiter seriously limits performance.
  2. Just back from a cruise down the Nile. No pyramids but they aren't all that to be honest, the cruise is the closest to the real Egypt you will get, you see everything including many temples that you can touch and feel, great value also but you must go AI else you will get ripped off for water and beer etc!!
  3. Some early Sport models had "open" Diffs, you need to check the VIN plate to see what Diff was fitted. There is a thread about this somewhere, do a search and you will find all the info about what to look out for.
  4. Found a place in Milton Keynes local paper £35+Vat :o I remember when it was at least £90 for the same job.
  5. Mine has a leek on the pipe below the site glass, so no air con for me until thats fixed saves on fuel not using it.
  6. 0.1 on your set up is a fair bit, have you tried checking the pipes using a soap and water mix? The liquid will bubble up if air is leaking from a joint.
  7. Good job, I know how much work is involved in removing and re-fitting the Dash.
  8. Conversion was a lot of £'s. Youtube Video? buy me a video camera and I will post a video :D

Got mine from the local breakers. £50 and all parts to fit.
  10. New battery, may be worth double checking the terminals are TIGHT.
  11. Did the MOT inspector have a labradore dog and dark glasses. Thats downright dangerous.
  12. Plenty on Ebay. Look for OBD2 reader.
  13. Rain this morning..... Didn't stop me fitting the Alt.... See you all tomorrow.
  14. What is excellent news is SHE IS BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN. We have electricity 14.2V constant even with the amps turned all the way up to 11 :winky: I can't get the sound balance right though? Need an airfield that no one will complain about loud music.....
  15. Velcro. Or a small child in the boot........
  16. Was that you under my bonnet the other night You gotta try harder than that, my £10's safe TGT to the rescue, should have one tomorrow. If not a company near me will put new slip rings onto the old one and that should mend it. All is not lost yet.
  17. It may sound cruel, but I would suggest that the car had more power than the driver knew what to do with... You may well be right there, RWD takes a degree of skill if you aren't used to it, it can bite.
  18. I can't move it, the battery only lases seconds after being jumped, even when the jump leads are left on for 10 mins I only got it 100YDS before the battery failed, Boxters DON'T tow anything. I can't be bothered to pay a recovery company for the sake of a few roads, it is outside a nice house and the owner doesn't mind. Its a quick fix once the part is here.
  19. Its a few roads from my house, a short taxi ride, the Boxter is in for service at the moment so we don't have a car at all. If it was at home I would have drilled out the bolt hole to fit and be on the road again.
  20. I do feel a little bit sorry for him, but he should have paid attention during his maths lessons, they teach you about "%"'s from an early age.
