  1. I decided yesterday it made more sense to walk round to the local co-op to buy some nice ingredients for a cooked breakfast and stay at home. Slightly shamed by my wife who walked to work!
  2. People of course we're driving like lunatics this morning, one destroying a neighbour's fence, followed by someone else 30 mins later who was making sure the job was done properly!
  3. It doesn't look like I'll be playing around with it today as its buried under snow!
  4. Thanks all for the replies. I'll play around with it tomorrow and see what I can do with it.
  5. Interesting. So to explain to a fairly thick person when it comes to technology, what do I need to do/buy to use it? I've got an android phone.
  6. I was doing some fine tweaking of dash rattles today and this was buried under it all. The wire goes through to the centre storage box and has a USB port on the end. Is this just for charging or is it meant for something else as well? Ta.
  7. Good price! I'm not sure bonnet struts are an MOT failure but I do know how much it hurts when it crashes down on your head, nearly knocked me out!
  8. You will unlikely see any problems visually with out of shape tyres. Try swapping them from the rear to see if it changes anything.
  9. Does that mean it was a Celsior and re-badged? It doesn't matter which car I own I'll always have a soft spot for an LS. I'll be surprised if I don't go back to one at some stage. The best cars I've ever owned.
  10. Good news. And was it the radiator coolant that did the damage?
  11. I agree, I wouldn't risk mine or my passengers lives with iffy steering parts. It is the price paid for owning these cars. They don't go wrong that often but when they do the price of parts can be painful.
  12. Thanks Colin, I'll make sure everything else is checked before considering replacement. Strange how it can go for days without showing a fault.
  13. Yes, I understand that most will be re-manufactured, I just thought the price is good for someone who just wants to replace them without the hassle of doing it themselves. Mine are OK but it gives me peace of mind knowing that if they do need replacing it can be done without having to sell the family silver. Just as well really as we don't have any family silver!
  14. A droning sound especially at around 50mph could well be from a tyre. I've had this twice and both times it was a tyre out of shape, even though it looked fine tread wise. It sounded like a bearing or similar but completely went with new tyres.
  15. Annoyingly I bought front and rear pads when it was 35%. Not that I need them yet, which makes me wonder why I bought them. I guess I'm just a girl who can't say no!
  16. In an idle moment I was looking at ECP website and noticed they are selling (with the discount code) a pair of rear Pagid calipers for £277. Looks like a good price doesn't it? Actually, I think it's even less than that because there's a £35 surcharge until the old ones are returned. They may be reconditioned but it looks good to me.
  17. I've just ordered one as a precaution because mine is looking a tad cracked all round. Lots of posts on the US forums about VSC check due to poorly fitting caps. I don't think it's got anything to do with my light being on (although its been off for a couple of days) but it doesn't hurt to have a new one.
  18. As it happens Mark I've just ordered a fuel cap gasket as a precaution, £13 for a rubber ring!!
  19. Thanks Norman. This is the one that needs replacing, and it looks like the exhaust may follow! Although I guess that's expected after nearly 13 years. I think I'm right in saying the cowl is part of the sensor and not a separate item?
  20. As I'm sure you're all getting bored with my sensor questions I'll make this the last! The passenger side means the nasty job of removing the seat, so what about the drivers side which is my iffy sensor. How is that done? The connector still has to go up through the floorpan.
  21. What did it drive like, any knocks or groans? Headlamp washers I believe are an MOT failure if they don't work with the HID lights.
