  1. I need to get this 02 sensor ordered, can someone confirm this is the correct part. It's bank 1 sensor 2. Thanks The one on my car has this casing around the sensor. And should I change them as a pair? https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1607106&cc=1431834&jsn=331
  2. Not sure, I know the later reversing camera is different. Maybe the government have hidden it to keep watch on us!!....or maybe the Russians!😁
  3. The reversing camera is just above the number plate. I only noticed this one when the sun was on it, look exactly like the reversing camera lens though.
  4. I've got another what's this. Under the rear parcel shelf brake light is a dark plastic piece. I noticed there's a small camera lens inside, anyone know what it does?
  5. I have to say I find the Lexus system in my GS just as good (if not better) than the ML which I had in both my LS430's
  6. I thought it would make sense to get some better diagnostic equipment and I'm told I can get TechStream from Ebay. Last year I bought the Volvo diagnostic kit but needed at least 2GB of free laptop space. Is it the same with TechStream, and is it easy to use? Volvo only worked with Windows 7 Professional for some reason.
  7. Strange the way the creaking dash affects some and not the others. Before I bought mine I tried a GS300 which didn't creak, and a GS430 that creaked from just about everywhere, it was the main thing that stopped me buying it really.
  8. Come on now, we all know that dash cam footage makes it all look a lot faster than it is. I would estimate that was about 2 miles an hour (at the most) we're all far to clever to fall for that kind of trickery! I found the blue flickering lights on the dash very pretty though.👍
  9. Nice to read of a good outcome. My GS Impressed me in the same way, absolutely spotless after nearly 13 years. Looking forward to your photos!
  10. I agree the dash creak/rattle is annoying, although I have sorted mine relatively easily and cheaply. I loved the interior of my LS430 but in many ways I prefer the GS. The only thing I'm not sure about is the drop-down bit with the buttons. My favourite is the wood door trims!
  11. Interesting reading your comments on the GS interior because I think the quality is superb. Which areas do you think aren't up to par?
  12. And it's the same in my GS, whereas my LS would have warmed up in no time.
  13. That's a really good heads up for anyone looking for a fab RX, decent price too. Makes me wonder what little amount they paid you at the trade in!
  14. Well you may be lucky and get a fair LS400 but you'll need to move quickly if one comes up. The GS430 has the 4.3 engine but it's a much rarer car so they seem to be really sort after.
  15. You must be really frustrated! Still, your ordeal may be over during the weekend. I certainly share your thoughts on driving an LS in the snow, I did it once and that was enough.
  16. Time has a way of embellishing history, it was more than likely EPNS! Not a bad bit of off topic going on here, sorry Dennis.
  17. That's the video I followed. I did buy furniture pads but it actually worked out better with the velcro because it meant it could be put all round, just thin strips cut from a wide peice that I bought from Dunelm.
  18. And not forgetting the metal tea tray down the slopes and taking it back to mum all bent!
  19. I bought my GS300 in January and I also had the bad dash creak. I got some black rubber for sealing the inside of double glazing and pushed it down between the dash and windscreen, made a big difference. Last weekend I took out the radio/nav screen and lined it all with the fluffy side of self adhesive black velcro, easy enough and very effective. It is always worse when cold because the plastic is harder. There's a YouTube video of the procedure. If you decide to do it he shows 2 screws being removed but there are actually 4 as I discovered when I couldn't initially budge it! Well worth the effort, I went out this morning in minus 4 and no creak!
  20. Any idea what your budget may be? It'll help when it comes to suggesting your options.
  21. Have you checked the rocker covers, its not unknown on the LS.
  22. It sounds a tad more exotic than the kitchen I've been fitting today you lucky man!
  23. That reminds me of the times when I go to London, especially along the Fulham Road in Chelsea. You hear a roar from something like a Lamborghini as they accelerate for about 50 yards before they have to brake hard to avoid going into the back of a number 14 bus! Don't worry about us here in the freezing cold, I'm sure most of us will survive....
