  1. ACC switches off below 30mph (i think) and therefore cannot be used in stop-start traffic. Hopefully, the next generation version will have it, like distronic-plus on the new S-class :winky: ← I don't think you would want it like the MB version. Did you not see the test MB done at their factory on Top Gear? Car didn't stop in time and smashed into the car in front
  2. info was in the knowledgebase http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ex_v2&id=94&c=3
  3. Welcome to LOC You may wish to post your question on the US foroms to get recommendations in your part of the world. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums
  4. The change schedule is 100k or so many years (6 maybe?). It's probably worth inspecting it but shouldn't be changed unless it's needed.
  5. Have you contacted Lexus GB? They probably won't do anything but it's worth a try.
  6. swap them over to make sure it's not a problem with the ballast
  7. I like the way MB make it very difficult to get a price from the website, trying to hide the fact that they are expensive.
  8. brakes are good on the GS, better on 2001+ models though. Maybe you should get them checked out. I really cannot understand how people are impressed with the grip and handling of the GS, certainly it's worst points.
  9. fully speced merc comes to around 35.5k and you cannot get automatic cruise control so the equiv. IS comes to £33.5k and still has more equipment.
  10. no it doesn't. A fully specs IS250 is around £35k and a BMW is £37k which still doesn't have all the spec of the IS.
  11. You may also find that the colour of the light output has changed over the years so if you replace one bulb it will not match the other one. I believe Philips do HID bulbs that are made to match old bulbs so you don't have to change both of them. You should be able to get a bulb for around $100-150 and should be able to fit it yourself. Just make sure the lights are turned off!
  12. I believe there have been reports of this on early models. Faulty unit in the vehicle?
  13. better to get it from here: http://techdoc.lexus-europe.com/
  14. Although there appears to be a lot wrong with the vehicle the way all the electrical systems intercommunication these days it's probably just one thing that's wrong which is causing all the problems. Hopefully your dealer will be able to sort it out quickly for you.
  15. I seem to remember the mirror adjuster isn't illuminated for some strange reason.
  16. worth checking the engine bay fusebox, it may well have it's own fuse.
  17. They won't sell enough diesels to justify designing an auto gearbox. Most cars in Japan are autos but hardly any are diesels so it would really only be for the European market and although the diesel engine itself will be fitted to Toyota cars as well, they will be front wheel drive so the gearbox would just be for the IS.
  18. 12000k bulbs. Don't know what sort of laws you have in NY, certainly wouldn't get away with them in the UK.
  19. has the screen had an impact? I would get it replaced under warranty if not.
  20. all ipods scratch easily because of the high gloss finish. Nano is no better or worse.
