  1. Duckhams Fully Synthetic is going to be better than Castrol Magnatec
  2. I thought KF were using Mobil 1 for their fully synthetic oil change?
  3. The only problem with the large spoiler is it covers over the centre brake light which looks a bit odd unless you disable that one. The GS sports have a different rear shelf installed to remove it completly but that is expensive.
  4. Cambelt costs all different prices depending on the dealer. The only problem with DIY is that when somebody does a service check it will come up as no cambelt changed.
  5. IS240d ?? 2.4l 176bhp possibly by the end of the year. The dash makes the car different - most people like it.
  6. Why the hell would you accept the connection? Why even have Bluetooth enabled unless you are using it?
  7. If it were a characteristic the dealer wouldn't have changed:
  8. Yes there is a newer version. It costs around £350 and is only available from Lexus dealers. As for the part number it is best to order it by the vehicle chassis number as there are different versions of the DVD Sat Nav unit which use different discs.
  9. It only has a limited database of phone numbers - basically not worth using.
  10. Join our gold membership for £25pa and get up to 15% off servicing :)
  11. as are most towns these days but at least it is normal for people to have 10 toes in hertfordshire :P
  12. There have been many transmission failures in the US on 4WD RX300s but the first I have heard about in Europe. How many miles has the vehicle done? Did you ever change the transmission fluid? Even though Lexus state it shouldn't be changed Lexus dealers in the US recommend a change every 15k - 30k miles. Other people also recommend putting on an external transmission filter.
  13. I would say the 3 service plan is the best value, as if you time it right you can get 2 major and 1 minor service. I was told a timing belt change is still charged extra so double check that if you have a 100k service coming up.
  14. The sport doesn't have different brake parts.
  15. Coolant should be changed every 2 years after the first 3 years - yes it is necessary if you don't want your radiator and water pump to corrode. Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years if you want to maintain the braking system efficiency. Normally because the coolant is first changed at 3 years you don't have them both done on the same service. The service price quoted should contain those items anyway - not as extras. Fan belt - I guess they mean timing belt? That should only be done at 100k miles.
  16. You don't want to do that. At least £2000 + wiring changes and your existing screen may not display correctly as DVD systems use a widescreen display.
  17. It is very noisy compared to the LS OEM tyres, completely different category of tyre. One is a high performances sports tyre, where noise and comfort are an after thought, and the other is a low rolling-resistance cruising tyre where noise, economy and comfort are the primary factors in the design. Possibly worth a look at Yokohama AVS dB.
  18. I wouldn't say the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS3D's are suited to the LS.
  19. http://www.liquidleather.com/ LIQUID LEATHER & SCUFF MASTER products are very good.
  20. They have been saying it for over a year now. Someone I know has waited and now cannot get a morgage for the amount needed to buy a place because prices continued to rise.
  21. Depends what term of investment you are looking for. If you may move within 5 years then there could be a problem but a longer term shouldn't be. The analysts I have heard are predicting no growth for a few years rather than falling prices.
