  1. Still made quite a bit of profit though and a lot of that profit comes from their handheld hardware. If they stop any hardware it would be the console but they are still working on their next gen console so it won't be just yet.
  2. Unless the MKI is different the idle speed is controlled by the ECU and is not adjustable. If if is not correct then there is a problem with the idle up system etc. Unless the TPS is not set correctly you shouldn't try and adjust it to compensate for a problem elsewhere. It is quite possible for the TPS to have a dead spot given it's age. Could well be just dirt that a spray of electrical contact cleaner would solve if you can open it up.
  3. It is not possible to make the Sat Nav drive unit play a DVD film.
  4. You can import the DS for about £100 + import duty from a few places on the web. You then need a UK GBA lead to power it.
  5. The IS has a CAT1 security system not just a CAT2
  6. which hidden buttons col? ← You need to be stopped with the handbrake on - possible in Park as well. Press display to bring up the brightness/contrast adjustments the press the areas in the picture - start at the top then bottom three times. To get out of the mode you need to turn off the ignition. There are a couple of useful things, one will show you GPS tracking information and the other is vehicle speed - you can see how much the speedo is out. You can also get the info from the method Rod posted (maybe slightly different between CD and DVD versions). buttons.bmp
  7. Cannot remember if the DVD is the same procedure or not. Fargo or Geoffers will be able to confirm. On other models you can press hidden buttons on the touch screen - not an option on the IS as it doesn't have one.
  8. Standard OEM HIDs have a colour temp of 4300k so Extreme whites match those quite well. Do your HIDs look very blue being 6000k? It shouldn't matter what type of bulbs they are if the temps are the same they should look the same colour.
  9. You really need to start with a good wheel alignment. It can cause all sorts of problems and you need to rule it out first. It is also going to be the cheapest thing as suspension damage can cost £££. As you are in Herts. a quick trip to Watford is the best option to see Tony from wheelsinmotion. Heard reports he does a good job for a good price.
  10. Try some PIAA bulbs. They do different colour temps. that should be able to match your HIDs
  11. Had one for about a year and a half. Best I can get is just over 12000. One guy at work can get into the 14000s, at the time he was 4th best in the world. Make a lot of noise when you have three of them going all at once in the office
  12. It is normal. Toyota engines always idle high when cold, is meant to reduce emmisions by letting the engine warm quicker
  13. The interior sensors can be a bit sensitive on the GS, when I wash my car it sometimes sets of the alarm. Your model doesn't have dead-locks.
  14. If you have CD or DVD based system all you can do is use the screen, you will have to install a DVD player + composite to RGB convertor and cut into the vehicle wiring loom. Read this thread, you may be interested: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=19348
  15. The best examples normally end up at Lexus dealers anyway. Things can go wrong and the Lexus used car warranty is the best out there.
  16. Do you have details on this new sub? May help other members in the future.
  17. I agree with Matt. There have been issues with the post counters in the past and the same could happen with this.
  18. Hope your company are paying for this? If they are then they should have seen the size of the bill and put broadband in for you.
  19. engine and gearbox will be fine for another 100k miles if services are done correctly. I would get the gearbox fluid changed. Suspension bushes/linkages can wear. I would try and test drive a lower mileage vehicle to compare.
  20. http://www.alldatadiy.com will be for US model but almost all the things will be the same.
  21. Is it going to be sold to the public Mat?
  22. Yes the belt should have been changed twice already. 63,000 mile intervals on your vehicle. Gearbox oil shouldn't need to be changed but I would do it every 100k miles. Either properly flushed or drain, fill, drive for 5 minutes and do it again. A single drain will only replace about 35% on the total fluid in the box. ONLY USE TOYOTA T-IV FLUID.
