  1. My bad, just read Ian's comments here. 10am it is!
  2. That's what I had in mind too, as per the previous meet. Just thought I'd make sure, as it was not mentioned anywhere.
  3. By the way, what time do we meet at Plank & Leggit?
  4. Anyone travelling up the M1? Would be good if we could organise another convoy. For the previous meet at Plank & Leggit, there were two meet points along the M1; one at the services just after J14 and another at the truck stop at J23. Could repeat something similar if anyone's keen?
  5. Lately, been using my Lexus Sound System to listen to bluetooth phone conversations more than music itself
  6. I just read about it and I think it is a stunning looking car! Possibly the best treatment of the "spindle" grill yet, bar the face-lifted LS460, in my opinion :)
  7. Good luck with the search :) You might be better off with a recond model from Japan, as the speedometer will read in km/h, the indicator stalk will be on the right side of the steering, the car would be less susceptible to rust, etc. What is your budget in RM?
  8. I agree with the others, it's probably a flood damaged car. Have you had a look at Naza? There are quite a few LS460s for sale at oto.com.my
  9. I like both headlights... look better than my dull weathered-yellow ones anyway :P
  10. Stolen from OJC here: http://bit.ly/1gZxR4J Pics of an Altezza rear brake hub before and after painting: Before: After:
  11. All LHD LS400s have the indicator stalk on the left and wipers on the right.
  12. ^^ sorry off-topic but an Elise as a winter runabout? That must be tonnes of fun!
  13. Sorry to hear, very gut-wrenching indeed! :( There appears to be a keying epidemic lately; your is the 4th Lexus that I'm hearing of which has been keyed in the last 4 days! Hope you are able to get it sorted without too much issues.
  14. I have a somewhat of a related question: do insurance companies actually know what size rims the car rolled out with from the showroom? For example, the IS300 could be had with either 17" or 18" rims from new. Let's say one's car initially had the 18" aeros, and then they decide to swap it with the 17" standard rims. Would they have to notify the insurance company? What if I'm swapping my 5-spoke 17" rims to the later-model 11-spoke 17" rims?
  15. Tony, I remember a post you made many moons ago about the tendancy of the IS200's steering to offset to the right sligtly after geometry calibration. Did you manage to identify what it was?
  16. No, thank you Tony, that was an excellent write-up B)
  17. +1 for using 16" rims for winter tyres. This has been discussed before: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/79855-winter-wheels/ Hope that helps.
  18. edited: realised that you were after the upper ones - please ignore :)
  19. If you only do 6000 miles a year and can afford the fuel, I'd say go for it! I for one think that the original LS (Mk1/Mk2) looks more majestic than the Mk4. So no prize for guessing what I'd do if I were in your shoes! :P
