  1. Sorry David I was on the mobile version on my phone. Doesn't show up on that. So how many cars meeting at the services now then? Me, Dinho and you Chris as far as i can see I will probably be there first as i'm out from 7am. Bronze 53 plate Ls430 probably very wet as i have just seen the weather. I may be inside the services having a brew, you can't miss my shiny bald head and glasses.
  2. I hoping to meet Dinho from his post at the services at J2 M42 so feel free to meet us there, 3 cars is looking more like a convoooooy
  3. Looks ok to me, only a couple of miles of my route, not to worried though. From 9am to 9:30 is good for me Have PM my to you
  4. I got to drop something off first thing near Tamworth services J10 M42, so will be going A42, M42, M40, can meet you if you planning on getting to Gaydon for about 9:45 - 10:00. Will only be a 2 car convoy, but a lexus convoy is an eye turner.
  5. Is the farmer still alive ? I think i would be pulling someone else's hair if i was to arrive and see this happening.
  6. Cya all Saturday folks, looking forward to it. Will be there about 10am
  7. I refuse to jet wash any vehicle, them things are a menace to paintwork and electric sensors. Agree with Graham, a good hand wash them some pampering with claying and wax etc will do a far better job and will look better.
  8. So what MPG do you hope to achieve from your patio or is that up for an LPG first Great job though, well done, i think you may have started a trend on using Ls parts for furniture, who will be first for the coffee table Ls V8 i wonder
  9. If people spent as much time being honest and forthright with trading / selling then they would sell more, get better reviews and customers, they would not need to change ID's and the world would be a better place for it. He smells in my book, hope he gets the festering sack pox :arrrggg-matey:
  10. Odd, I thought ECP didn't do Japanese cars? They look fine to me, I may take a punt next week. After all, a brake disc is just a lump of metal IMO. I put the reg from your avatar into the search and it came up with the available parts they can provide. I'm sneaky like that :arrrggg-matey:
  11. I have asked for history etc, lets see what we get and if he is going to be honest before the report for misleading buyers goes in to Ebay
  12. Can't help with the first issue you have, bet it feels horrid through the wheel when braking. But you could try these discs & pads, i replaced my old Ls400 with some, i got mine from another parts dealer who don't stock them no more, they have real cheapo rubbish now. http://www.eurocarparts.com/brake-disc http://www.eurocarparts.com/brake-pad Easy to fit as well if you take your time.
  13. Hiya I was looking at the Pure dab radios, decided to go a different route for now. I have these. For connection of my Ipod to the car i use this cassette thingymadoodad and would recomend it, you do sometimes just need to move it a touch in the casette deck to get rid of distortion. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001ALQ5Q6/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And for digital radio i use the above item but connect this little Pure Dab pocket radio, got mine in a sale for £20, but they are more expensive normally http://www.pure.com/product/pocketdab-1500-vl-60799/ They both work a treat
  14. Just an update on me and the good lady, we will be there around 10ish. Plans have been made for my birthday that very weekend which stop us camping over. Look forward to seeing you all
  15. Spotted 2 Ls today on M1. Both silver colour About 4:45am just north of J1 heading to Brent Cross, had a bit of a speedy right foot. Looked like a Ls400 About 11:20am just before J25 heading north. Private plate on this one. Ls430
  16. I tell no fibs. I put them on soon after I bought the car and the mileage was 99K there is 136K on the clock now so unless my maths are wrong (which they could be at my age) its 35K. Mike Impressive mileage - perhaps the roads up here are more abrasive - I only get 3,000 miles out of my rear bike tyre on our roads. My V8 Morris Minor is still running on tyres (265/50 x15 BF Goodridge) at least 10 years old with almost no wear, despite numerous trips up the dragstrip and probably over 20,000 miles. Pete 3000 miles from a rear tyre, your roads are either sandpaper at 80 grit or you have a loose right wrist To be honest though, i used to get about the same from the rear trye on my B-King, and i know i have a loose right wrist, well you have to with a B-King, you know what i mean as a biker. As for the car tyre wear, even though the wear looks unifrom, i would invest in a laser alignment check, at £50 it's piece of mind and one thing to cross of the list of possible causes for low mileage life. Pete, drive around the M25 for a week to check tyre wear, thats just one circuit of the M25 mate We all know the M25 is the worlds biggest car park.
  17. Unicorn poop is more common than an excellent 400. Don't discount the idea of a 430 as they seem to be a little more in the market at the moment, budget depending of course. I have to agree with Steve, the 90's design and the often heard comment 'old man's car' design does have it's haters and it does put people off. As you will find out though, once inside and driving the car, it's a whole new world of driving pleasure. Just make sure you look for all the issues that have been mentioned on this forum, many threads of them, leaky boot etc. Being in Ireland may mean a few lengthy trips though. Good luck in the hunt.
  18. I knew it was a dud somewhere along the way requiring X to make Z and cost no £ to = smiles per mile. Now where did i put that hamster powered galaxy bending sonic lightwave.....
  19. 10yrs working in the NHS imparts knowledge of many varied and some very embarrassing ailments Rather you than me. Mike Don't work in NHS now, left at beginning of the year, long distance lorry driver now.... move over, 44ton coming thru :megaangry: Wow thats a change and a half. I always fancied being a coach driver but sadly I never did it. I also wanted to drive a Bedford TK lorry, do you remember those? Mike I enjoy driving and also riding motorbike, other road users don't bother me, of course you cannot underestimate the lunacy of some fellow road users. License form a lucky bag comes to mind with them. Only thing i would like to do is get the creature comforts from my Ls430 into my lorry cab, damn that would be heaven :hocus-pokus:
  20. Just browsing flea bay as you do and this appeared http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-LS430-LPG-RUNS-ON-WATER-/281133061736?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4174d61668 What you think of it, don't sound right to me, lpg and hydrogen

  22. Just look for a car spray centre in your area, you could get a free quote from chips away if they have a operative in your area And yes a professional is the best answer considering what you need to have done. A bodge job is probably why it has done what it has so it may be best to treat the old girl
