  1. This car, the MITSUOKA OROCHI was said to be the ugliest Jap sportscar ever.... What are your thoughts? The engine is the same as in the Lexus RX300! Cost around 48K
  2. Sorry, but I can't believe that price. Lexus would charge that for the carboard box it comes in. £100 seems reasonable to me for used bumper + grille
  3. Wash and wax. Just keep on top of them
  4. Go for a Parrot (as in brand name) Not a big green bird. You can clearly see the difference in these pics. Although the voice clarity is nearly identical.
  5. Setanta are doing a deal now. Setanta box £25 and its free for 3 months. So its really £8.33 a month then after that its £11 a month. Premier matches + other sports +England qualifying matches and some FA cup. The way TV companies have got it all sewn up between them it leaves little option. Even if you go for full SKY package you will still have to pay out for the Setanta, BBC have just given up because you HAVE to pay for thier licence just to switch your TV on! Whether or not you don't watch Eastenders! My mate in Turkey gets full SKY package including ALL pay per views for £6 a month ( on a viewing card) It's like anything else in this country we sit back and take it so they give it to us harder. We pay more for food,fuel.gas.electricity,cars,TV. The exact same products or services are cheaper everywhere else and the reason is those people will rebel, we sit back and complain. We sign petitions that do not even get air time in the Commons The reason being that the people who signed them did so while filling up thier tank with expensive fuel or were just on thier way out of the post office after paying thier road tax! We are the Nation thats sits around a table in a pub drinking VERY expensive lager discussing how badly treated we are by the Government and how they are taking the pi$$ with these prices and it's got to stop. Er' excuse me love another6 pints when your'e ready. Er, where were we lads. Yea thats right putting the world to rights. The " Red Lion" Freedom Fighters! We do what we are good at Ranting. Like I am now. King and country!!!!! As Jim Royle puts it " My Ar$e" Rant over. (Until they paint a double yellow line in front of my house and I make a stand! Like," Excuse me mate but where do I queue up to pay for my parking permit") I've only been here ten years and I should really contribute. Should'nt I?
  6. Regarding problems...Then both models are great.Nothing to be frightened of on either model. Performance, then there isn't much difference. (Although I know mine will kick ar$e of the MK2 models ):winky: Towing capability is the same. It will, probably come down to asthetics / looks. I prefer the MK1 body shape but the MK2 interior dash. Spec levels on both are high as is the luxury you expect from a Lexus SUV High mileage on any of the models isn't a worry so long as you have an honest service history. But obviously the lower the mileage the better for you. It's a buyers market at the moment so there really are some bargains to be had out there. It's your budget so off you go. Let us know how you go on. Whichever you choose I assure you that it won't be a disappoitment. Terry
  7. Only thing wrong with Chinese tyres is that they are made in China. See this article here.. Andres Leighton/APU.S. regulators have ordered tire importer Foreign Tire Sales, based in Union, N.J., to recall as many as 450,000 tires. The company reported that the treads on light-truck radials manufactured by Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co. in Hangzhou, China, might separate. Foreign Tire Sales said many of the tires are missing a safety feature called a gum strip, which helps bind the belts of the tire to each other. The gum strip prevents tread separation, which can cause a tire to blow, possibly making a driver lose control of the vehicle and crash. The Chinese-made tires were sold under at least four brand names: Westlake, Compass, Telluride and YKS. The tires, which were sold for use on vans, sport utility vehicles and pickups, have been linked to at least two deaths in accidents involving tread separation. Since the Chinese manufacturer does not have an office in the United States, the importer is responsible for any damages. But Foreign Tire Sales has said it does not have enough money to fund a recall. The small, family-owned importer is suing the Chinese manufacturer – the second-largest tire maker in China – saying it should pay for the recall.
  8. Ncap ratings for IS and GS.... Ncap Lexus
  9. Old credit card/or similar with a fine piece of cloth on it. It will get into the awkward spots.
  10. Not a problem I have heard of before. Check the floorpan for any signs of damage. Maybe you have flicked something up off the road.
  11. Try here....Fuse layout It could well be the fuse because that particular fuse only does one function the washer.
  12. There should only be 4 bolts. Two on each side? Once removed the spoiler should be free.
  13. Thats all it is 4 bolts and disconnect the light. You will need someone along side you just to hold the spoiler so you don't drop it on to the car.
  14. There are a lot more RX modded in the States than over here in the UK.
  15. Hi, and welcome to LOC. Love Texas! I was in Houston a couple of years ago and I loved it. Nice to see another RX owner. I am not trying to scare you away but I think you will find more RX owners on the US LOC site. Terry
