  1. Sounds like a few fuses were blown, its designed to blow when these things happen so it doesn't fry your electronics. You can have a look at the car manual to see which fuse relates to what, if you dont know or unsure then i would carefully unplug 1 fuse at a time and replace whichever one is broken.
  2. So Toffee is back? lol Not all forums are made equally :D
  3. Heated debates again lol. All of you have valid points but you all come from different backgrounds and style of driving therefore have different opinions which is awesome. I've had performance cars in the past all manuals, i wanted an auto next because i got tired of driving manuals (use to get stuck in traffic often on my last job, I think my left calf was bigger than the right), not a big fan of the german cars but wouldnt say no if i found a good one. Took me a while but I discovered the Lexus brand and like the look of the IS250, plus it had 4 doors and a big boot (wife approves), other 4/5 door cars we looked at were EVOs, Impreza, Mazda 3 MPS, X-trail, Qashqai, X5, Lexus GS etc You do get more for your money regardless manual or auto, I think the auto will have a slight advantage in price due to the tax. Regards to performance, manuals are usually faster than auto (not always the case tho), but we shouldn't be discussing 'speed' in a car that is in the 8 second range as I'm sure people would've bought something else. Those who just want to cruise and the occasional blast will not be disappointed in either. The IS250 is a luxury car with the looks, comfort, toys and reliability. My brother bought the late BMW 325 (3 litre version) recently, full service history etc, told me last week the computer said there is 1 failed injector.
  4. what bobmc means is, he is happy with his ML audio. I think unless you get to hear a 10 speakers system vs ML (13 speaker) side by side, you wont know what you are missing. Much like if you've never had a proper 5.1 home theatre compared to a 5* soundbar, you wont know until you experienced it. I doubt you live in the car so i would look for the other gadgets and maybe ML audio as a bonus, for F sport, i think the suspension on the CT will be different (more stiff). The CT is tempting, i might go hybrid for the next car.
  5. If you buy me the 2 f sport badges you used for your boot, you can have both of my original F sport badges :P
  6. The gears on the IS250 Auto are smooth like butter, defo something not right! Just a thought, have you tried an ECU reset, maybe something went wrong and its remembered the settings?
  7. How much did you pay for that? I have it on my watch list on ebay lol I need new 'IS250' badge for mine as someone put the square F Sport and removed the '250' from the rear boot. I want to put it back to normal again.
  8. That is looking fab! I think those wheels will look better on my IS250, i can PM you my address :P
  9. Check on ebay and see what its selling for, with all things, its worth what someone is willing to pay.
  10. Yea I got the climair. Just tried to fit the front 2 and it's so stiff to put into the channel. I can put the front part in but other end needs to bend to fit but if I bend anymore, feels like it's going to snap. Might wait for warmer weather before trying again Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. Quick questions guys, got my wind deflectors, the rears have sticky tape but the fronts don't, is this normal? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. From what I remember reading online, the suspension is different and is 1 inch lower than a SE-L. Though the F sport suspension on the is250 i heard is firmer, it still comfortable and not as stiff as my civic type r.
  13. The next problem is the stock exhaust is quiet anyway, so your really looking at having it applied to a custom exhaust. After all of this, it might just be better to get a custom exhaust but tune it so it has a nice grunt instead of a 'bee in a can' sound. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  14. Its a good idea however i wouldn't bother linking it to the PWR switch, i would have a separate switch that can open and close the valve on demand. I like leaving in normal mode as that's the smoothest driving experience for me and PWR just seems more eager. Helps when I have a full house in the car.
  15. Just my own opinion and findings, there's no point chasing power on the is250, it's an awesome car for what it is but lacks the noise from the v6. The route I was going to go was k&n typhoon first then maybe a custom exhaust. The exhaust put me off because in the past on other cars, the tick over at 6am is too loud and the motorway drone is tiresome. I think a valve system would be a good idea, open valve for the weekend drives and close the valve for quiet comfort drives. I rarely drive that early anymore but I have a 2 month old boy in the back so nothing overly loud. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. Dougie, reading your posts seems like I wrote it myself! I'm in the same situation as you. Will be keenly following this Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. Is there a link to these morimoto bulbs for the is250? I think is250 are 35w oem? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  18. I'd like to point out that pictures of cars at night with the HID headlights on usually appears alot brighter than they are. I think an MOT station or garage can check and align your headlights, maybe the bulbs are not fitted correctly/beam angle has been messed around with in the past etc.
  19. It's exciting picking up a new car, you'll definitely enjoy it. Take your time and enjoy the day, no doubt you'll have a few more questions once you picked it up but there's a wealth of information on this forum to help you out. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  20. Had bad experience with red stuff pads, you need heat for effective braking. Yellowstuff was way better but I did get new discs whilst I was at it, this was on my fto. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  21. There are aftermarket kits you can fit, you take out the oem ballests and lights. At least this is what you do on a different car. Is the oem hid 35w or 55w ballast? Maybe just needs a new hid bulb? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
