  1. Yes rayaans I have the dunlops on the rear as they have more tread and the michelins on the front. I assumed this would be fine. What's the best set up?
  2. Anybody fancy Stourport on severn? Plenty of nice pubs and restaurants along the banks of the river severn along with a fun fair in the town for members bringing families. Hopefully this is more accessible for people and knocks an hour off the journey for the south west lads.
  3. I feel really bad to be honest. Longford house is a 2 minutes drive from my house and some of the lads are driving up from the south west. I'll think of a few more locations to make it easier for everyone.
  4. I've been using shell nitro the last couple of weeks and noticed quite a lot of gunk coming out the twin pipes so I assume the extra detergents have cleaned the system and I guess fuel additives have the same effect. No gunk at all over the past few days and it could be the placebo but the car feels more responsive.
  5. On average the 5th injector should inject at 200 miles approximately. I had trouble with mine but it was grey smoke not blue. Sounds like coolant is being burned to me.

  7. Madasahatter I won't be painting the wheels. I really like the colour. Very pleased with them and in tip top condition too and came with 2 dunlop sport max on the rear and 2 michelin cross climate on the front. I paid £1000.
  8. I've always noticed a clicker sound on my IS250 on tickover. Nothing mentioned on the last service at lexus Wolverhampton. To be honest Steve I don't think it's anything to worry about.
  9. i was looking for a set of baransu wheels. i did post on the wanted section. a lad from the forum got in touch saying he had a set of g spiders for sale with 4 good tyres.. as he was only an hours drive away i went to view them yesterday and could not resist. i am very pleased with them. look much better than the original wheels.
  10. Looking for a set of 4 18 inch lexus baransu wheels with or without tyres. Must be in good condition. Cash waiting.
  11. Spend a good 3 hours today with the toothpick. Although it does the job I haven't even scratched the surface yet. Last time I use that cream stuff.
  12. Give the bk244 a go first. You never know. Could possibly be the maf sensor but it's best to get it looked at by a professional. Hope you get it sorted soon bud and keep us updated with any news.
  13. Sounds to me like another egr valve problem. When was the last time it had a good clean?
  14. Mine went twice. The previous owner had it replaced at 30k under warranty and when I owned it it went at 68k.
  15. I bought some leather conditioner this weekend. It's carplan leather valet. It's a thick cream but the problem is its all stuck in the thousands of tiny holes and it looks a right mess. I've tried to vaccume it out but it won't budge. I've turned on the heated seats hoping it will melt out but to no avail. Poking it out with a toothpick will take forever. Any tips greatly appreciated.
  16. Sounds like turbo lag to me and the is220d has plenty of it. Other than that it could be your egr valve. It's an easy job to take it out. 10 minutes. Give it a good scrub and soak with carb cleaner. You might be surprised with the results.
  17. Same with mine. Lots of white smoke/condensation when stationery even when the engines warm or cold. Absolutely nothing to worry about.
  18. Yes dinho the Longford house is cannock and the spread eagle about 2 miles up the road. Both these venues are on the main A5. Both pubs are family orientated, large car parks and play areas. Both are close to shopping centres should the ladies get bored of all the car talk 😉
  19. Dinho just a suggestion but how about the spread eagle at Gailey or Longford house? Both do fantastic meals, large car parks and play areas for the kids.
  20. Your not wrong Normski2 £450 is a very keen price for a head gasket replacement but that was mates rates as I've known the proprietor graham a good many years. He had the job done in half a day and it was as sweet as a nut afterwards. I think your average independent garage will charge about £600 for a basic replacement. Nothing like the astronomical prices lexus charge 😲😲
  21. I've tried them all over the years on various motors. Never noticed any extra umph or extra mpg. On an old motor that's not been serviced in donkeys adding a can of fuel additive may be beneficial. Regular fuels do a decent enough job of keeping engine /fuel system clean along with a regular italian tune up to blow out any muck It's cheaper and more fun too. 😄
  22. The lexus 220d has a cabin filter same as the 250. I changed it myself when I had the diesel model.
