UX250h UK premium sport edition
Lmafudd replied to fourbanks's topic in Lexus UX200, UX250, UX250h, UX300e Club
If it has Bridgestone RF's then get them changed. Mine's like a different vehicle now having suffered much the same experience. We too have a Yaris and they are indeed lovely and are pretty quiet but they jar your teeth when hitting potholes that the UX glides over. -
Irregular spark after replacing engine
Axelstromo replied to Axelstromo's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 Club
Checked the clearence to the sensor which was about 0.8mm. I did see that some of the studs of the trigger wheel had almost rusted away completely. Will change the wheel and see if there is anything else wrong. -
I've struggled to download the zip for this, but eventually succeeded and went to apply the update on the car. It ran for about 70 minutes and when the time remaining got down to zero I received the error shown below. Thought I'd ask here if anyone has got this fixed, because my local dealer is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Thanks

…..reversing sequence for my 2000 Lexus LS 400…… turn engine on and select reverse gear…. on selection only the near side door mirror panel tilt’s down to show the ground view in preparation to reverse to the left…. reverse to the right and the off side door mirror only tilt’s down to show similar… please don’t tell me how much it cost Toyota to design, fabricate, assemble and install a sensor that can calculate left from right steering - why not just tilt them both down - together 😲 ? that will be how Toyota spent $1bn to research and develop the Lexus LS 400, launched in the US in 1989 ! anthony

Would you run an LC outside of Lexus Relax.
MNMJ replied to Flytvr's topic in Lexus LC500 Coupe Club
That is good news as it used to run out at 10yrs, though you could buy 2 years in advance taking it to 12. If it still includes their breakdown cover, it is very good value (or was when I had it on ISF and RCF) -
It’s that damned unnecessary Plastic Tarp on top of the standard boot lining that’s causing the condensation…… I doubt it’s water ingress, well it doesn’t need to be ! I had this exact same issue on my 91 car last August with a rubberised back, thick black mat over the standard boot lining ……. really damp / wet on the spare wheel 😰 …… condensation Malc

I formatted the thumb drive and copied all DIRs in correct order. When I insert the thumb drive, it remembers the previous directory order. Does it save any data about thumb drive somewhere? If so how can I reset it?

Hi Julian, I love my mirrors! 🙂 I am tech nerd. Like the zoom out effect, really useful in tight spaces, and I like the looks. Resolution isn't an issue as the full resolution is a zoomed our resolution. Now I barely notice they are digital. Although, I don't think it's normal to drive with heaters on all the time. It looks it gets worse after a pressure wash or during a big temperature drop, like sudden rain. Had one recently, UK weather, you know, 15 degrees and sunny and then 6, raining, and dark as hell 😂.

Having my SC430 on the road now, and very happy about that too, I am diving deeper into bringing back its glory. I’m renovating the leather upholstery. I have started with the rear seat cushion, simply as it was easy to remove and it’s raining. I'm concerned that the sculptured foam padding under the leather is wet. Has anyone suffered this same issue and can give me any pointers as to how/where water is getting in and how to resolve the leaks? Thanks as always

New Tail Light Popped Out / Not sitting correctly
CT200NI replied to CT200NI's topic in Lexus General Maintenance
Solved: for anyone in the future doing this, there is a white little clip. It looks massively bent - but that’s how it looks on both sides. In this case, that clip wasn’t sitting the right way around. Causing its slant to push out slightly too much. Check this if you ever have the same issue. I presume other models use this same way of holding in the tail lights.- 1 reply

I did have the SC430mods one originally but sold it as I wanted one with a lock function as an extra level of theft protection. They are all basically are the same and made in China.

Looking to buy a 2010+ ISF
BTCC_ Racer replied to samplify's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Hi guys don’t mean to hijack the thread but I’ll be selling my ISF. I’ll put ad together in the coming days. Basically has all the preventive stuff carried out over the years, radiator, gearbox pipes, exhaust manifolds, suspension refresh, shocks bushes etc. -
Hi guys, Didn't want to create yet another thread on the rear AC but ah well. I've got a leak in the usual place above the fuel tank. I know I have the option to cap it off and just move on without the rear ac. The other option seems to be to fit some flexi hose between the front and rear to potentially bypass the rusty pipes. Has anyone DIYed or had a garage successfully do this? I'd rather keep the rear AC functional and have seen someone in the US do this but the guide isn't that clear. If I get the front capped off is it likely the back will never work again or would it be possible at a later date to try and reverse this to get the rear back. Thanks guys

RX450H+ EV range and ICE consumption
Pally replied to Ken R's topic in RX 300 / RX 350 / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h Club
Hi Xez Haha. No need for marking, that’s spot on and is exactly how I calculated it as well for ICE only. I was trying to work out what the combined traditional hybrid figure is when the ev only range is exhausted (i.e. under 30% battery) So I got: 33.3 pure ICE as you say 39 estimate for combined ICE / battery when operating like a normal hybrid in HV mode - what I’d get if I didn’t plug in. 51.8 overall for this trip including the additional PHEV EV range. Happy to see any suggested variations as just finding my way with this. Also trying to understand if, aside from the environmental considerations, it is commercially viable to top up at the local charger at 55p per kWh (85p 1st KWh) but suspect that may be outside the spirit of Ken’s thread/post. -
LBX safety features
JimmyfromLargs replied to Sue LBX's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Ryan, I agree, having never had a CVT before it’s a different feel, I would say for sure less responsive than a conventional gearbox….but CVT is considerably smoother feel. What we are finding is it requires a slight adjustment to driving style…… -
LBX Passenger Seat Comfort
JimmyfromLargs replied to Expatma's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Interesting I find the passenger seat comfortable……so much so I have fallen asleep on a couple of short journeys. My wife the drivers tells me she particularly likes the drivers overall position…… Not been on a longer journey…..yet. -
True enough. Indeed, yesterday there was no Q in Ilkley. We could have walked right in for a table. I find the Harrogate branch busier probably because of more tourists. Same likely true for the York branch.

2021/22 NX300h Wheel Alignment
RONNIE W HODGEKINSON replied to Ed659's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
The air Con Top Up ..I get that at Every service.....Always Say No Does not need it YET -
I may be in luck here. Yesterday the weather was quite warm and I just tried the telescopic function I could hear the motor trying to work. So this could possibly be a stiff mechanism which needs lubrication. Can anyone recommend the best thing to use for lubricating the moving parts? - I have some red grease in the garage - will this suffice?
