  2. My mechanic's first words when we unloaded my import onto his ramp : "How the F is it so dry, so clean, no sweat, not a single leak...I have never seen any used german sport car like this. If Lexus had a better interior I would buy it immediately". I don't know why he meant with interiors but same thing he said about RCF I had before.
  3. Yesterday
  4. I had 285/30 on the back and 245 fronts , now 275/35 - 245/35 , these cars look better with beefier tires
  5. Hi, I’ve noticed with increasing regularity that Android auto disconnecting when turning sharp left or right. It requires either an unplug back in to either the phone or console and comes immediately back. It did it three times on a recent 1 hour journey around country lanes but less so on major roads. I think this did it with my old phone and I have bought a quality cable and still happening. its going into the dealers next week to check for an software updates, but wondered if anyone else had had this. I am suspecting something loose round the back Any other thoughts or experiences ? thanks
  6. Previous owners had 3 youngsters. I think a sugary drink spill was left in the flat section which has discoloured the black leather. The car had been standing unused for 6 months plus, I found an apple from the same time in the rear console box. I had a quote for a full seat restoration but it was outside my budget and at that level probably unnecessary. I have used some leather recolouring balm/dye and some conditioner which has improved things nicely. The car has only 86k mileage so seat leather is in pretty good shape throughout other than the main seat panels which obviously get dried in the sun, or hold any water if the roof is left open in a rain shower.
  7. I sent a link to the Lexus article to my dealer which got the reaction "we no nothing about this" but promised to contact me one they knew. Seem unbelievable Lexus would publicly make statements like this without informing their dealerships first.
  8. …..Hugh - thank you, so much, for your encouraging note of support! yes, I shall dive onto my keyboard, as soon as the ‘folding’ is handed over and update all my Viewer’s accordingly! thank you, again anthony
  9. I maybe doing even better, with Octopus .... Between 05:30 - 23:30 we pay: 27.94p per kWh Between 23:30 - 05:30 we pay: 7.50p per kWh 😃 However, not forgetting, there is also a standing charge of 47.85p per day on top of the above which we have to pay no matter what. Double However, However, during a sunny 🌞 day the solar panels and associated batteries 🔋 charge the Lexus for FREE, albeit the £1000's I had to pay inadvance for all the install 😟.
  10. Hi Dan, I am just waiting for confirmation of the agreed value and then I will be chuffed. It nice to see you are taking the time to take an interest in owners forums. Regards Glyn
  11. Thats the difference buying direct from source or not and an item flying all around the world attracting shipping, local taxes and import duties in every destination it is sold through.
  12. Actually so chilled as not to care. La La La. Could be the evening Rioja kicking in. After a splendid steak.
  13. Tyres are Bridgestone run flats 18” and after doing research on the web they are considered to be very noisy. Dunlops seem to be a lot better from the reports. To be honest I did not even consider this as an issue with a Lexus before purchase. My old diesel avensis cars cruising at 40-60 were quieter than this UX. Anyway another lesson learned the hard way.
  14. Still open to offers - don't want it to end up at the rubbish tip.
  15. Still open to offers - don't want them to end up at the rubbish tip!
  16. Checked the clearence to the sensor which was about 0.8mm. I did see that some of the studs of the trigger wheel had almost rusted away completely. Will change the wheel and see if there is anything else wrong.
  17. I've struggled to download the zip for this, but eventually succeeded and went to apply the update on the car. It ran for about 70 minutes and when the time remaining got down to zero I received the error shown below. Thought I'd ask here if anyone has got this fixed, because my local dealer is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Thanks
  18. Hello buddy thank for this post I really need sorting the reverse camera grid line calibration. I don’t have the track pad as I have the newer version of the ux. how would go about the menu section?
  19. That is good news as it used to run out at 10yrs, though you could buy 2 years in advance taking it to 12. If it still includes their breakdown cover, it is very good value (or was when I had it on ISF and RCF)
  20. I notice ISFs are still priced not far off the amount I traded mine in for in 2015. Whoever bought it probably has had great value According to Autotrader's 'value your car' link, my RCF is worth the same as it was in Feb 2020, and I've added 22000 miles since then
  21. It’s that damned unnecessary Plastic Tarp on top of the standard boot lining that’s causing the condensation…… I doubt it’s water ingress, well it doesn’t need to be ! I had this exact same issue on my 91 car last August with a rubberised back, thick black mat over the standard boot lining ……. really damp / wet on the spare wheel 😰 …… condensation Malc
  22. I formatted the thumb drive and copied all DIRs in correct order. When I insert the thumb drive, it remembers the previous directory order. Does it save any data about thumb drive somewhere? If so how can I reset it?
  23. No, simply a very challenging, difficult to find, backstreet long established ultra professional top notch exhaust provider in Bower Lane Maidstone Been there since they invented exhausts 🤣 well, 50 years to my knowledge ……. they know what they’re doing methinks ! Malc
  24. Hi Julian, I love my mirrors! 🙂 I am tech nerd. Like the zoom out effect, really useful in tight spaces, and I like the looks. Resolution isn't an issue as the full resolution is a zoomed our resolution. Now I barely notice they are digital. Although, I don't think it's normal to drive with heaters on all the time. It looks it gets worse after a pressure wash or during a big temperature drop, like sudden rain. Had one recently, UK weather, you know, 15 degrees and sunny and then 6, raining, and dark as hell 😂.
  25. Solved: for anyone in the future doing this, there is a white little clip. It looks massively bent - but that’s how it looks on both sides. In this case, that clip wasn’t sitting the right way around. Causing its slant to push out slightly too much. Check this if you ever have the same issue. I presume other models use this same way of holding in the tail lights.
  26. Hi guys, Didn't want to create yet another thread on the rear AC but ah well. I've got a leak in the usual place above the fuel tank. I know I have the option to cap it off and just move on without the rear ac. The other option seems to be to fit some flexi hose between the front and rear to potentially bypass the rusty pipes. Has anyone DIYed or had a garage successfully do this? I'd rather keep the rear AC functional and have seen someone in the US do this but the guide isn't that clear. If I get the front capped off is it likely the back will never work again or would it be possible at a later date to try and reverse this to get the rear back. Thanks guys
