  2. Hi Ian, Did you try to run the quotes on comparison sites? Wondering if prices for Tesco insurance on the comparison site are cheaper than your renewal quote. I've been checking mine ahead of my renewal and Tesco (which I am currently insured with) seems to be the cheapest apart from Marshmallow...
  3. Hi Pally I'm here snooping from the NX Forum - I've got to keep my eye on Ken R !! 😂 Anyway, I've copied and pasted a post from an NX 450h+ Range forum back in 2022 about how I calculate mpg - I do it over a longer time than a single trip though. Hopefully this might help?: "I filled up on day one (1st March) with odometer showing 29 miles. I've filled up today with odometer showing 3838, not put any fuel in between. Today put in 39 litres (8.58 gallons) to fill again. That works out at 444 miles per gallon. I am not naive enough to think that this is a true representation, so I thought if I add the cost of the fuel (£65) to the cost of all my electric charges (£255.82), divide that by todays fuel price per litre (£1.669) after converting to gallons, this will provide an equivalent number of gallons to the total cost, then divide miles covered (3809) by the equivalent gallons: All fuel cost 65 + 255.82 = £320.82 Cost per gallon 166.9*4.54609 = £7.587 320.82/7.587 = 42.29 gallons 3809/42.29 = 90.06 mpg Sits back and waits for those cleverer than me to blow my theory/calculation/premise out of the water. What have I missed?"
  4. I don't suppose you can describe the sound wand how or when to replicate it?
  5. Just looked back to my first 450h+ shown above (should read 9/5/2023) which at this time last year will have been 14 months old with approx 10k on clock. In May 2022 there was another thread we were noting range on - I'll see if I can find any posts from then as my new car has some 'learning' to do !! UPDATE: I've found the other thread, titled: NX 450h+ electric and petrol range, but it seems like I was more intere4sted in workign out the mpg than a day to day electric range then!!
  6. Today
  7. Today EV 46.6 EV/AC 45.2 740 miles since new on 15 March 2024
  8. A good post on the subject. PIRTEK also, make AC hoses. Only issue need to know length and what fittings need to be crimped onto the ends to make up a new pipe. If the joins are visible and can take a photo shop may know what fittings are needed. James
  9. Hi that button is for the volume for the alarm. I must say your ls400 looks very nice and I see lex tek have looked after yours too, theyve done some work on mine too.
  10. Pretty sure I read a post regarding the flexible pipe option that was fabricated by an AC specialist but not sure if it still involved the tank being dropped.
  11. I have always had japaese cars, the likes of toyota & honda.
  12. No, we’re destined for a class action court case unless Lexus pull their fingers out of their Sanderos.
  13. Thats some great footage, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately my fault is back, in at lexus next week so will bring up the issue, after reviewing all the data logs I've made and Freeze Frame Data it was pointing to the "Stroke" sensor in the Rack, but today the rack started making strage noises and completely stopped working 😞 I am thinking this is going to be expensive 😞
  14. You can get on it but you would need to instal an Octopus compatible charger like an Ohme.
  15. I am not particularly loyal to any brand. If they annoy me at all then I try someone else (hope Lexus is listening 😅) I have changed from Ford to MG to Vauxhall to Saab to Audi and now to Lexus. Most have been good cars.
  16. Ive sorted the annoying knocking on the rear which I thought was a shocker, After having a play at the rear I noticed some play in the anti roll bar, bought some poly bushes for £16 and its cured the issues, silence again .... only took me 6 months to sort lol
  17. I have actually had 4/5 honda's and they have been great cars although both my accords driveshaft failed and that was an expensive repair. I have noticed that a lot or maybe even most people tend to stick to the same brand forever once they are happy. Why change! If it ain't broke, don't fox it.
  18. Jacaranda are a sight to behold. First saw them in Sydney. Then a few days ago in Estepona.
  19. I am leaning towards Cadiz.... 2.5 hour drive vs 1 hour drive might tip the balance!
  20. Anthony hi again ......... did you get the front exhaust leak issues sorted that they mentioned ? When I had mine done on my Mk3 the exhaust fabricators built anew coz there was zero availabilty of the OEM part anymore Best wishes Malc
  21. ….thought ! vehicle registered in 09 / 2000 - could be fitted in transition to replacement LS 430 - their first reg’s were on an X plate ! maybe, a Lexus LS 430 owner could help ? anthony
  22. I have confirmed the RR Racing tune now fitted to my car removes the Japanese speed limiter which is nice, need to work out how to remove the cruise limiter.
  23. ….no, Chris - I have that Lexus option already installed ! bright banded yellow and black handle over driver’s headrest, in emergency - sharp pull forward, the canopy disappear’s in the slipstream and seat and driver are rocketed, literally, vertically upward’s 200 metre’s at 100 mph complete with drink’s holder - parachute deploy’s immediately on descent ! front passenger has one too - say’s Martin Baker on the headrest’s. 😳
