Probably not the wheels at 8 years old, Lexus wheels are reknowned for laquer/paint peeling and the subsequent corrosion if not sorted promptly.

Use the point to haggle the price to cover a full set wheel refurb.

Never use winter tyres. Don't need them in Essex. Day to day... It's a normal car when you want it to be and a weapon when you want it to be. Comfortable, loads of extras, great fun, practical etc etc

People will say 08 model if firm suspension but I have no issue with it. It's a track tested super saloon after all.

If you are in no rush just take it easy, mine will be available early next year ;)

They are remarkable cars and a package that can't be beaten. Everyone that owns one looked at the competition and came to that conclusion much like I am sure you are.

I use Michelin Alpines in winter, as I drive around the country quite a lot. They have worked very well through two winters for me, including a number of trips p to the North East......

I'm on my 4th Lexus, only one IS-F, had the 200, 300, 250 and now the F, I've only ever had to out lay for tyres, pads, discs and yearly service, never had any issues at all. I wouldn't have any other car than a jap.

There fantastic cars, like a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Running costs are very good for a car like this mainly due to its reliability so no random repairs to worry about.

Major service is 800 ish

Normal service 350 ish

Minor service 200 ish

Tax is 500 ish

Around 65-70 ish to fill a tank.

I have ad as much as 34MPG and as little as 18MPG

Tyres depends on what you buy. The ones I use (vredestien ultrac sessanta) are 180 ish per corner.

I've used the vredestein tyres when I had focus st several years back and they were pretty good

I think so. On the main tyre review site they perform very well agains the competitors on all fronts and put perform in some areas.
