Local to me is an LS 400 for sale - MkIV - bronze with I years MOT. I do not think it has been used very much, as it always appears to be in the drive. It is not garaged.

Beige leather interior, sign on the window says £1500. Only had a quick look but apart from the wheels it looked in good condition. Gold badges. Just thought I would give the heads-up as it might be worth investigating as the MkIV's are getting hard to find. It has the numberplate L400  **P(?) - not sure if that would be sold with the car or not. I knocked on the door but there was no one in. Will try and get more details when I pass again.

Did an MOT check on the internet. Has only done 1,000 miles in a year, which would relate to how much I have seen the car on the drive.

  • Test date25 April 2016

  • Expiry date9 May 2017

Advisory notice item(s)

rear Brake pad(s) wearing thin (3.5.1g)

nearside rear tyre cracking and wearing low

nearside front Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrules (3.6.B.4e)

offside front Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrules (3.6.B.4e)

slight oil leak

Hope this is useful.

I have no interest in the seller or car, just passing this on for others to see.

The 113k miles are not bad for that year the ferrules are not a problem at most new brake hoses and new pads .

Tyre will be out of date anyway if it is cracked .

The oil leak could be coming from the transmission, power steering and is usually not an engine oil leak on the LS400 if it is then I would want to take a look before making any purchasing decisions.

The LS400 that I had for a very short time early this year had an oil leak from both sides of the engine, it seemed to be from the rocker covers but I couldn't be sure, but it was enough to make oil burn on the exhaust.  Very unusual for an LS400.

That ls400 looks so familier. It looks like he's taken the photo outside lexuschaps place. Infact I think lexuschap advertised this car on eBay not long ago and he's used his pictures
