Hi, my electric aerial has started to do a weird  thing. It goes up to the top  an then the top two sections come down half a section each.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Bod

It's possible that the plastic drive inside has broken. A common thing on the LS400

I once had a Honda Prelude with an aerial having two heights. One for normal use and a lower one so one could drive into the garage with the audio playing. Maybe this is what yours is doing. Sadly I cannot remember how one could choose which height.

My '98 GS300 had an electric aerial which changed its length according to the frequency of the selected station. If you change station does it change length?

Replacement of the plastic toothed belt is very very easy.

After all this time I've just found out that you are correct. It goes all the way up for radio2 and does it's drop down thing when on my local Radio Norwich 99.9.

Cheers guys, helpful and correct as always.
