Glitch whilst driving.

Recommended Posts

Driving this evening, approaching a corner which I didn't have to brake much for and the car suddenly starts bleeping and the seatbelt tenses up.

Was like it was preparing for a crash but the road was clear and I had barely touched the brakes.

Strange.......

It doesn't take much to set off the anti collision system, beeps at me occasionally when overtaking and such like.  It does startle you first time you here it though.

Yes , I have had this on a number of occasions although only once where the seat belt tensioners kicked in.

I've had the beeping a few times but not the seatbelt tensioning until now.....caught me by suprise, and still not sure why it happened unless the car coming the opposite way somehow triggered it.

Nice to know it's there if I need it though.

Yep, I've had the seat belt tension a few times. Once, a car came across slightly onto my side of the road, heading in the opposite direction, so a near miss, Clever stuff the radar tech.

I've had it happen once.  It wasn't that close to being an accident and I had already started to take action to avoid the idiot that pulled out in front of me but the tensioning of the seat belts put me off a bit.

Yup must have had something in front to cause the PCS to activate.

Mine used to come on all the time if i switch lanes and come close to a car, it can be scary at times.

I now deactivate the system when I plan to drive aggressively :)
