New Is Spec

i see they finally added full leather on IS200 as well (about time i say) but also it seems the horrible LE alloys (correct me if i'm wrong)

this option of parking sensors confuses me though, is there something different about them? They seem to cost £585 extra but when I bought my car it was around £450. If thats the case, i'd rather just have the non-factory fitted ones

The factory parking sensors are front and rear. The dealer fit ones are only rear.

I think the dark wheels are really sporty looking, especially on silver/grey/black paint colours.

The initial reaction from the sales team were the same as yours but now they have been looking at them for a month, they like them. They just take a wee while to get used to.

Hi

saw the new IS over the weekend, looks nice, new interior bits, window switches are noe a silver sort of colour, AC Controls knobs are now silver, but the thing that caught my eye was the center top glovebox (where the sat nav is suppose to be). this was cool, very deep as well.

does anyone know if this can be bought seperatly?

Thanks

Raj

Those were the changes that came out at the end of 2003 as the 2004 model.

Full Leather 'v' Escaine

I drove my IS200 Sport '02' for 33k miles and constantly tried to find a comfortable seat position.

Now have the IS300 '04' with full leather and these seats are much more supportive, any seat postion on these seems to be comfortable whatever !

Much easier to clean too

yeah i actually prefer full leather too, its those alloys that i don't understand. While, the darker colour does look good, (although they could've just made the standard ones darker) i'm not too sure why they picked the least sporty looking ones they could find...

how do the front parking sensors work? are they switch operated or cleverer like in larger cars? can they be fitted to any car or must it come from the factory?

I haven't driven the car yet but Simon seems pleased with it. Took a bit of getting used to but he says it feels much sportier.

How about a local member popping in for a test drive and writing a wee report on it?

I am checking on the aftermarket availability right now, will report soon.

Can the centre top glovebox cover thing be fitted to older cars?

It can indeed

The total cost to supply and fit would be £231.08 inc VAT or £203.86 for Gold members.

Plus the cost of petrol to/from Edinburgh?

I think I'll just make do with the hole for now.
