Sunny Day And 6 Chavs Later And I Am Wound Up

Twas a beautiful afternoon driving through the somerset countryside... sun roof open... driving so steadily you could not even hear the engine... smooth... stress free from computers and general crappy bournemouth

Until I came back home through Dorchester

I had around 6 differnt chavs up my backside all the way home driving like complete knobs... Once one pull in a different direction I had another one join

I even had to pull over to let one pass coz I was losing my temper.. could not even see his dashboard in my mirror!!!... Nearly needed a brown paper bag! (to breath in :D )

I had Rovers, Astras, Clapped out audi, mondeos... you name it.. it was baiting me.

Its so common being bated (although i dont bite as I am grown up) I am almost getting fed up with the car.

Just because its lowered, aftermarket wheels, rear spoliers etc it means that I am up for the challenge.... freakin idiots!

I feel more wound up then I do before i left the house. :tsktsk:

is it time for me to sell? Austin Maestro sounds good :yack:

I get it ............ not that often though ........ I usually wait till they sit there revving up there engines ......... and ready to go for it .........

then .......... out comes the warrant card, a few subtle words of advice in there ear, and it's like back on the DSA tests ........ both hands on the wheel, mirrors ... everything!

It's sooo funny !

But don't let it get to ya mate :D

why is it this car that gets baited and not the soarer?? damn.. woulda had fun with that.

any other sport owners get the same prob?? or am i just paranoid?

Either need something to is quicker or slower and not worth baiting.. the GS is too fat and slow.. like a fat bloke in a tracksuit...

Steve... don't do it :blink::crybaby:

Every time we got out as a family in the car, the kids do a "Chav count"

Earlier today we returned from the petrol station, through town (about 2 miles) and they counted 9 :lol:

Can't say I've been baited yet... need to get some 17's, rear spoiler and a pair of HKS zorsts, then maybe they'll try pushing their luck :winky:

Tony.

mate.. I admit the front grill and eyelids do attract them and the rear spoiler and window spolier gets them from behind.. cant have a nice look car without people thinking its an invitation to race.

I'll race them on a track... and when my GF is not in the car. Not risking her fr some pratt.

I tell you.. when I was in the MK1 & 2 Escort days we never had this problem... Harder to find the mods! Pancake filters and Peco zausts!..

hehehe - just ignore em mate.

turn the music up, and let em go.

I had a green <generic POS hatchback> pull up next to the lights next to me a while back. HUUUGE exhaust - it sounded like a jet engine. Blacked out windows. Music so loud MY windows were vibrating. Outlines of like ten heads / caps in the back.

Waiting for the lights to change, and he was revving the life out of his engine.

I thought - screw 'em, let em go past, and tell all their mates how they "wasted a Lexus".

Lights change, huge ROARR, and they pulled away at about 7 mph.

I don't know if he ****** up a gear change, or it was just the small engine / ten people in the back factor, but they literally crawled away from the lights.

I hung behind them for about 15 seconds, waiting for them to correct it and zoom off, and they never.

I was just crawling along on idle, and had had enough - so give it a little blip and went past them.

idiots.

I know just how you feel steve i live in a place thats known for its chavs .the car atracts them like no other i have had ,i just give the brake pedal a tap they soon back of .latley i just pull over as soon as they get close ,seems to give them the hump even more .its a jelousy thing steve and also you have a car they dont see that often so they see it as a chalenge to beat it .get yourself a big van like i have park your car up and go out in it chavbaiting .it will beat most chav cars and if it dont ram the scumbags

Masterbait.... I dunno Mat, I don't do that anymore...... Moved on to that tantric stuff now, it's more fun when you don't touch it for hours on end (makes a change for me too!!!)

You know the weird thing, my car is fiddled with as you've all seen, but they tend to leave me alone!!!!

I'll just usually get the kids drooling and giving me thumbs up - I think I've blipped it twice when I've been sat at the lights just for a grin when I was trying to show my passenger what a supercharger sounded like - lets just say a few heads turned.....

I tend to get the repmobiles getting the closest to me, if that happens I just drop it a couple of gears as soon as the speed limit goes up and floor it if it's safe just to open up a bit of space - they don't normally catch up either and that really seems to catch them off guard :)

The foglights trick also works nicely if I want a bit of space opening behind me!!! Can't remember who said that but it works well!

Got to admit this is my pet hate i like when i am on the open road when its safe to open up and put the car through the corners i can't stand when i get some idiot in a baseball cap with his 15 year old girlfriend tailgating me trying to race it wouldn't be so bad but 90% of the cars will either fall to bits before they get anywhere close or dissapear rapidly to a speck in the rear view mirror.

Although one thing i will say is if you are in front of me on the road you are in my space :D

I do corners as well, all legal & calm. If the limit is 60, I just keep it at 60 if I can. Most of these idiots don't know how to go round corners and soon back off after a couple of 'brown trouser' moments.

Had one the other week but not behind but in front (Golf GTI) going along a good road with few overtaking bits, me behind the Golf, behind a slowish car. Know the road and a straight coming up, down a gear, revs on 4.5K ish, clear ahead GO GO GO. T**t in GTI pulls out as i'm just coming up beside him, brakes ON. No indicator, nothing! I'm P88888ED off! So the chase is on!

Anyway he nearly lost it on a left-hander and I thought grow up you are 40 something and should be setting an example!

just had an incident on the way back to drop the kids off 4 chavs and an uno  screaming past me on a blind bend on country lanes :o

The funny side of it was the next set of traffic lights the uno promptly broke down in front of everyone how i laughed as everyone pulled around them and how i laughed again when half an hour later i saw the same motley crew pushing said blue uno up a nice steep hill
