He won't get away with it ........

On driving courses, yes we are taught to go faster and faster in National Speed limit areas ..... (police training, makes you exempt from the national speed limit)

However, he simply can not justify that speed in an unmarked car - to "familiarise him self"

now police training does not make you exempt from any speeding laws, it is just accepted, there is no exception for speeding in the law

I'm not sure I understand   Can you elaborate?

Ok, whilst on Police Driving Courses, police officers are Exempt from the SPEED LIMIT. (National speed limit areas)

However, that does not make police officers exempt from SPEED. ;)

OK Scarface :winky: Yeah I got the wrong end of the stick there. I didn't realise you meant just during the training course. Thanks for clearing that up. I was about to join up.

OK I'm putting myself up for correction by all coppers.

On a "shout" all emergency services are exempt from the speed limit and can pass a red light but HAVE to treat it as Give Way. Can still be done for dangerous and/or reckless driving.

In normal circumstances like they are subject to the same laws as you and me.

You got most of that correct ..............

Correct

Can still be done for dangerous and/or reckless driving.

Err, not quite. If the mannor of driving is that of a dangerous or reckless manner then an obvious charge for prosecution is there.

Emergency services are also exempt from other traffic signs .........

what i was wanting to say was even though your police trained it doesnt give you the *** given right to plough downa motorway, even when on duty, unless an emergency service is required from the police. This is what ive been told from a relative.
