Crystal Palace Park National Sports Centre Car Park

in your sat nav put Ledrington Road (off Anerley Hill )

That's lucky I read this, I was going to the top carpark, the first entrance to the Stadium, not this one

Must be a good night. DJdon coming in his 400 and me talking the wife into it means we'll be there. Wozza, can you tell me your expected time at the Grasshopper and we'll meet you there. Graham.

Am I wrong Barrie ?

Got info off the Bromley Council website DOH ! :crybaby:

I gotta go past there on my way home tomorrow night, I'll check for certain.

Barries map shows coming down Anerley Hill from the main junction of

Crystal Palace Parade & Westow Hill and the entrance is on the left.

Easy peasy.

Do we have any news on Parking in Brighton ?

The LOC London to Brighton run will be on Sunday 28th october

The meeting point will be HERE if you put the post code in your tom tom it will take you virtually there, just follow the signs for the "National Sports Centre" then head for the car park.

If we could all be there for around 9.00 am to leave at approx 9.30.

A big thanks to Bazza who is setting out the route for us, no motorways, just a scenic route, following the A22/A23.

Will meet you at the Grasshopper Inn - About what time will you be arriving and what time will you set off from Grasshopper to Brighton?

Many thanks - Glad I will not be the only LS400 there!

Lexus Brighton have said we can call in en route, for a coffee/chat and take a few pics, before heading down to the seafront.

I have spoken to the parking office in Brighton, who have said :-

The best place for us to Park would be The Black Rock Car Park, it is a pay and display carpark at the eastern end of Madeira drive.

Unfortunatley we cannot reserve spaces, but due to the time of year we are going, the car park should be pretty empty.

The car park has just been refurbed, and it is £1.00 per hour for parking, which is the same price for all carparks.

Hope this is ok with everyone.

I had a go at the Dukes Head in Copthorne, I think it is better that we (well all the ones coming from the Grasshopper and me) meet there. The parking space is big enough I think. and it will allow to go down to brighton by the countryside without going through Crawley :)

So from Barrie's route it makes :

meeting at Crystal Palace Park (National Sports Centre)

ROUTE:

turn left out of the park on to

A214 (Anerley Hill - Elmers End Rd)

turn right at the end of the road

A222 (Croydon Road - Long Lane)

turn left on to

A215 (Shirley Road - upper Shirley Road - Shirley Hills)

at the end of the road turn left on to

A212 (Gravel Hill)

at the end of the road turn right at the roundabout on to

A2022 (Selsdon Park Road - Addington Road)

turn left at roundabout on to

B269 (Limpsfield Road - Croydon Road) (my personal test track whistling.gif )

left at the mini roundabout on to

B2024 (Clarks Lane - Croydon Road)(this is where we go under the M25)

at the end of the road turn right on to

A25 (Westerham Road)

1st stop off at the regular monthly meeting place the Grasshopper Inn - beverages and a walk for dave

continue on the A25 (Westerham Road - East Hill - West Hill - Godstone Road - Oxted Road )

turn left onto

A22 (Eastbourne Road)

turn right onto

A264 (Copthorne Road - Snow Hill)

-------

At the roundabout before Copthorne, turn left to the Dukes Head pub for meeting point.

Turn left

Turners Hill Road

At Turners Hill turn right

Paddockhurst Road

Turn left

Balcombe Road

Turn right

High Streeet - High Beech Lane
