Special Edition Is200

Amarillo....

Wasn't that a song by Tony Christie?

"Show me the way to Amarillo,

Every night I've been huggin my pillow,

Cryin' over Amarillo,

and sweet Marie who waits for me .... sha la la la la la la la"

Hmmm..... I had heard about a limited edition 'Yellow' from Chris Shipley at the weekend. I don't usually like cars in yellow, but seeing an IS200 in one.....may persuade me to like it. :whistling:

The jury is out on this....I'd also have to see it in the flesh before making up my mind :P

I think it does look nice if they had added a different body kit. Purely this colour will not be a popular colour and they could have compensated with something like this.

looks like a Vauxhall Astra to me tho...

bit of a cheap thing to do by just painting it yellow though, you'd think there would be more spec on a special edition... i could go respray mine pearlescent purple and call it a special edition car...

they could have whacked a set of banana alloys and done something with the engine though :(

Lexus_Limited_Edition_IS_200_Caliente.jpg

See how this compares with the special edition IS200 "Caliente" for the Australian market... again it seemed pretty much a parts bin special as it was exctly the same as the standard car under the hood <_<

Hang on... Lexus give the ozzies this red number, and they give us this banana-mobile. What are they trying to tell us?? :shifty:

I think I agree with most of you guy's...gotta to see it to judge on it. Maybe the car can grow on you after a while! Then again if someone told me green colour lexus I would have said  but seeing it for real thought not bad! B)

definatly makes a difference

But lets face it.. the color must have been released due to popular demand... they must of had feedback from customers that it could be a feasable color.

I myself have seen the a demo and I was a little disapointed.

Tints

Body kit and nice wheels would look nice. Also would have added different seats inside.. but not black and yellow like speedboat seats :D

Oh dear!

Lexus have commited the ultimate prestige car sin - launching a special edition. THese are normally reserved for slow selling or end of life models.

What are Lexus thinking of?

hey i kind of like that light blue colour steve did.

p.s what program do you use to modify pics like that. i see them do it on cars in max power, put different kits and wheels etc on cars, virtual max or something. would love to have a program to do that.

back to the topic yeah i agree that the special edition should have had a few mods in the engine compartment and maybe different seats, maybe a full leather interior??

would of been better i thinks
