Kaizen is a Japanese principle of making improvements (to life, etc) by incremental improvements.

So, at this dull time of year, don't get depressed.

Work positively!

See what you can do to gradually improve your life? You only get one -Buddhists excepted?- so fill it, don't waste it.

Make plans, say "yes' to things, leap into the unknown-you won't fall, just fly!

PMSL skunk! I'm off to Amsterdam and Utrecht in four weeks so maybe they'll have some there :o

What Chris has posted reminds of Jim Carrey's latest film, and he does alright in that!

It's amazing how many people get depressed at this time of year, taking the advice Chris posted there always helps as it's all about frame of mind, and if that doesn't help, 5HTP usually does the trick

I'm sure it was honda which used the kaizen approach... I remember covering it briefly in one of my business related modules at uni

Toyota do too. The company I work for has regular Kaizen events and there are books written by Toyota people dotted around the place.

Very randomly Toyota also adopted there JIT (just in time) business plan from piggly wiggly after visiting ford and being so shocked at how rubbish they were at it.

No skunk! My dope days are long passed (I DO remember the 60s, but not through non-imbibing!).

I just thought it's good to try having a 'Yes' approach to life rather than the doleful attitude we seem to get from media, etc.

Laura Archera Huxley, (Aldous' 2nd wife) reckoned one should have 'yes' days.

Personally, just having loud music from my lovely speakers helps (Johnny Winter right now....)

If you're having a bad time; well, it's just the start of something better!!

Have a good month everybody!
