Hello Guys,: I went onto the net last week and found a Ls430--2007----87,300 miles,at the asking price of £6690 a couple of days later it was £5,950.I have just been on again today and it is now standing at £5,490.I was thinking there could be something wrong with it. It says 2007 on the website then when you click go to dealer it has 52 plates on it with no mention of year in the vague details.

I've been back to have another look and you are right,DZ52CZT The advert plate was C1BEN and was advertised as 2007. Something strange how can it be 2007 with a 52 plate?

It's a pre-facelift car (you can tell by the headlights) so must be pre-2004. But the price seems reasonable even for a 2002/3 car if it's in really good nick.

Traders make me smile I noticed a 3 month warranty is offered on the car IF the full screen price is paid but under the SOGA you have a 6 month warranty on any car bought from a dealer.

Hi its a bit of a gray area with warranties, if its a dealer with a premises there is a warranty but a trader from home there is none as he is a trader not a dealer. Stupid but I believe this is true.

When I bought my LS with 182k on the clock, the dealer said there was no warranty because of the mileage. Is that rubbish then, if I had a word about something does he have to sort it? Basically from the day after buying it, the orange brake warning light has been on the dash.

Hi if its a dealer with a premises He should, unless you have purchased it as spares or repair or as a trade sale. You say yellow brake light is this the ABS light, If its a low pad warning light that would come under ware & tear & probably would be difficult to claim against.
