What Is The Name Of The Oem Wheels?

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know the origin name of the wheels?

Or who is the manufacturer?

me thinks they are made in italy, could be wrong but I am sure when I was cleaning the rear of the wheels it said made in italy, no doubt some body will correct me if I am wrong. :hehe:

I just assumed then with the same mark 'JIL' same manufacturer.

lets see if someone can shed any light on this mark 'JIL'

That's a great find Andi, just had a quick look and you can get these wheels in 18 and 19 inches, I always liked the standard alloys and wished you could get them in a bigger size - if these had the right fitment that would be a very nice upgrade path!

Here they are on an IS:

Not exactly the same, more curved and thinner spokes. Not really my taste, a bigger version of the OEM wheels may be nicer.

Cheers,

We found out that the OEM 16 inch are made by ENKEI. And that ENKEI deliveres many (perhaps all) Japanese car manufacturers.

So could it be possible that the shown OEM Rim is done by enkei?

--------edit

ENKEI is part of YHI International Limited: LINK

They do about 1.2Mio wheels/year :shocking:

OZ is also part of this group...

That may explain why the 16, 17 and 18" five-spoke rims for Mazda (like on the 6 and RX-8) are corroding just as badly as the Lexus ones (according to my neighbour who owns a "6").
